Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seat

A video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

Photos of the new Q Suite can be seen here - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28007634-post109.html

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.

They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.

The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.

All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.

Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

They confirmed that at least one of my flights to HND from BRU (all A350) in October will have the new seats.

They didn't. But you were hopeful for a moment, right?

I second the question.

I will be sad to see the 777 seats go.

What are the chances that the recently delivered A350-900 is already equipped with the new product? According to airfleets it was delivered two days ago. With the ITB close, this seems like an opportunity for QR to gloat a little with a shiny, new airplane and a shiny, new C.

Very unlikely - AAB will wait until ITB to launch the product.

With a new EK F product also being launched at the show, it promises to be a great show.

The ITB is less than two weeks away. Seems IMO unviable to deliver a plane with the "old C" exactly two weeks before releasing the new product.

If they really wanted to show off, AAB will bring an aircraft with the new configuration. He probably could handle not doing any public flights with A7-ALN for two weeks to get a little more "WOW" effect.

A new level of luxury

QR ads for "7 days to we reveal a new level of luxury" started to appear today. Anyone who knows what it is about?

I'm saying that A7-ALN is already equipped with the C class and that it's waiting in DOH to be show to the world. Haven't noticed any flight activity for that bird and it was delivered last Thursday.

Moreover, it's probably best to merge this thread with the existing thread.

About to land at DOH as QR58 right now.

As for now, which type of seat do they have on B777 operating to AKL? Is it like in this http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.c...ess-class-777/ review?
A feature of airlines is that they make a big song and dance announcing something like this but they never tell you when the programme will be complete. The sad fact is that you can sometimes have a very long wait before you can be certain of seeing it on your flight. Do not be surprised to see it featuring in adverts even though you might not be able to experience it.

Some airlines have been know to announce new seating even before they have completed the previous refurbishment programme - no names but etihad 777s spring to mind
