Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seat

A video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

Photos of the new Q Suite can be seen here - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28007634-post109.html

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.

They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.

The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.

All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.

Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

77L Qsuite I'm assuming as I just checked expert flyer and the 1.23.19 QR815 is showing Qsuites...

LAX is showing Qsuites this weekend, I wonder if they will start flying this bird to LAX

Thanks for the update! Any idea which 77L will be next to get the QSuite?

You need to be aware of QR Forum Rule No. 1: don't book to fly on QR for a specific type of aircraft as QR are a five stair airline for equipment swaps. Some routes are more "stable" than others, but I don't believe FRA is one of those.

There are raft of changes that happen in late winter and late summer when QR (and most other airlines) put the finishing touches on their summer and winter schedules. Whilst is is usually focussed upon timing changes, equipment is also thrown into the mix.

Looking at the seatmap on qrcargo.com from about a month before the flight is usually a good indicator with an increasing degree of certainity, but to a certain extent you can't be totally certain until you arrive at the gate.
I'm flying this saturday and i did my research before (2 weeks ago) so I checked the departue days of QR274 before that and it showed on all the dates before the 26th the q-suite seat map until today. Since today, qrcargo and expertflyer are showing that QR274 on the 23th and 25th has been changed from q-suite to non q-suite. I'm hoping my flight won't be affected and stays as q-suite but after all, I'll find out on the day itself.

That's bad luck if you had done your homework but just goes to show all on the forum that it can go wrong. I can remember that FRA has been the subject of quite a few swaps over the past couple of years and had the Qatam equipment for quite some while.

Fingers crossed that you get swapped back.

EF is showing Qsuites LAX-DOH on 1/24-1/28, then back to 2-2-2 non-Qsuites on 1/29 and for the next few days (I didn't check later).

Looks like BBH is out flying. Anyone have any insight into the next plane getting the qsuites?

I am scheduled to fly QSuites on A351, DOH HND. There are two of us and the only couple seats left are on 11E&F, which is part of the only quad located on the rear side of the J class, after the galley. I was just wondering if this will have negative consequence in terms of service level (eg. Always being served last, when everything can ran out?). The last time I flew on this route quite a lot of stuffs were out of stock by the time I felt like eating.. Thanks in advance

EF always shows what QR has currently loaded for the flight. So, EF is always accurate as of the time of the query, but QR is notorious for changing equipment (at which point EF will show the new equipment).
