Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!

What is this surcharge? I've booked QR flights and never saw it, but I've only booked QR flights that were on sale (R inventory) or as part of an RTW ticket, or as an award from AA.

Having now flown QSuites maybe a half dozen times, I can now state definitively that I prefer the previous generation (359) business class seats. There are a number of reasons.

QSuites do give me a bit of a closed in feeling. Now I understand that it's a J product, and for a J product to have a "suite" with doors that close, it may be unique. That said, however, to keep roughly the same seating capacity, the suites are really small. Recline the seat a bit, for example, and it's hard to get up and step out into the aisle. It's short, too. With the seat maybe 50% reclined, my feet were flat against the wall at the other end. I'm 5'8". So while it's neat and cool, I just don't find it as comfortable. I completely understand, however, that if the privacy is more important to you than comfort, the QSuite is much more likely to meet your needs. It just doesn't work so well for me.

To the people who feel that the bed is short, it is actually 79" long and wider at the head and footwell than the older seat. The seat back is higher and the the pivot at the seat pan is lower, so when you recline the seat flat you are lower in the bed a have to scoot up to use the full length of the bed. I do wish they made the cushioning softer and and took care of the gaps between the sections to make it as seamless as possible.

As N1Rotate mentions, it must be that some pax don't move up the seat when it is moving to a flat position.
Seats on A350 are a bit less spacious than 777, with a narrower footwell, but still long enough for me.

A7-AMK is listed as brand new on Flight Radar - I read that it has qsuite configuration and was delivered a few days ago so another to add to the A359 listing in the wiki.

To be honest I didn’t feel any difference between the A350 and 777-300 (aft facing window) suites.
I was slightly worried about any lack of space but found out that space was plenty. A few days later, a flight on QR’s 787, that once had my favourite seat, felt almost dissapointing after the Qsuite.

Long story short, I decided to keep the same itinerary since BA couldn't find any Qsuite flights with award availability departing that day. Had an incredible flight from MUC-DOH on the old A350 J product. Still solid. Outstanding service. Good news is that it looks like my flight from DOH-CPH (QR161) will be operated on Qsuites. Will probably sleep for most of the flight being a redeye, but very excited nonetheless.

On another note, absolutely loved spending 4 days in DOH. Checked out the Souq Wakif, Museum of Islamic Arts, and the Sheikh's personal Museum collection. If you have a layover, definitely grab a drink at the new Mandarin Oriental Hotel. The rooftop has stunning views of the city and sunset.

I do like the „A“ or „K“ seats as that are real window seats (but rear facing), as well as i do like row one. Some people may be bothered by the proximity to the galley, but I never did feel bothered by that
