Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seat

A video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

Photos of the new Q Suite can be seen here - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28007634-post109.html

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.

They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.

The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.

All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.

Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

Which routes have Qsuites?

yeah - that happened last year from HKG to DOH...all the publicity was about the Q-suites then I flew in 2-2-2. Must say, it wasnt bad at all though! so roomy! there was one leg in the 2-2-2 that wasnt great as the let rest wouldnt stay up so i just moved seat as the cabin wasnt full. No biggie.

I'm on the same flight. I wasn't notified of the equipment change. I was really looking forward to the QSuites... there's still time for this to change back.

me neither, just noticed it when checking meals.
Luckily the rest of my legs from AMS and the return flights still show Qsuites.

So just had my first Q suite , 777 , middle experience (8G). I found the total lack of windows, not even able to see a window in the distance and no external cameras very disconcerting. I'm also a bit miffed with the inability to select seats in advance because the middle quads are all blocked. 24 blocked seats out of 42 on my next 777 flight and the other 18 are already occupied. Apart from that it's still a decent seat and a good bed.

6 out of 9 777-200LR have been refitted. I believe the 7th is getting refitted now, so it's very likely that all 77Ls will have the Qsuites by July.

BKK is probably the worst for swaps given it has so many frequencies and different aircraft. I wouldn't keep my hopes very high.

Flew last Monday, no Q Suite from DOH to ARN.
Very disappointed.

But business class were very empty,

KL-DOH only 3 passengers
DOH-ARN like only 4.
