Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seat

A video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

Photos of the new Q Suite can be seen here - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28007634-post109.html

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.

They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.

The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.

All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.

Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

I would say the chances are very unlikely for next month at this point. Work on the grounds that it will be the old config and if any last minute equipment change does take place, it will be a bonus.

Hello
QR42 from CDG 01/08 is now showing 2-2-2 with a 773.
I thought it was one of the few flight guaranted Qsuite?

No route is guaranteed Q Suites - It is safe to say that QR42 has solidly been a Q Suite route recently however you pay your money and take your chance with QR and aircraft type I'm afraid.

I hope it switches back for you.

There are many posts in this thread on the issue. Short answer is that QR blocks some seats on some Q-Suites flights and those can't be assigned while blocked. Other seats on the same flight and other flights are not blocked. Sometimes the blocked seats become unblocked within week or two of the flight.

Hello,

While I understand that it's impossible to figure out with certainity which route will have QSuites, I'd like to see if I can increase my chances for my next summer flight to DOH. My home airport is LAX, but I was thinking about flying to IAD since it appeared that the 77W had a greater chance of QSuites, at least for now! However, I just realized that the one 77L with QSuites was just upgraded, so since all LAX flights are 77L, maybe I should just book direct LAX flight and hope for the best since the flight is basically a whole year away. Any thoughts on QR upgrading more 77Ls?

Thanks!

Hi everyone, I"m looking at booking QR6 (LHR-DOH) in Sept but am keen on the Q Suite. I understand that that flight regularly has the Q Suite but I've noticed that the seat details are pitch = 78inchs and width = 21.8 inches which i believe is the old 2-2-2 seats. Is that right?

Many thanks.

There are no guarantees on any route but if I was having a quick bet, I'd suggest LAX was pretty high up the priority list for Q Suite deployment. There would be a reasonable chance any future 77L Q Suite installs would end up on the LAX route in the next 12 months I'd say.

My opinion only and not based on any hard facts.

I auto reply to myself. there has been a switch regarding Qsuite departing CDG.

Qsuite equipped Airbus A350 is operating flights QR37/38 on the following schedule through 31 July 2018:
QR37 DOH 15:20 – 21:15 CDG (Daily)
QR38 CDG 22:40 – 06:00+1 day DOH (Daily)
So I swap myself to the previous day

A 777-300ER with Qsuites is currently set to return to daily service on the Doha – Paris route from 1 October 2018 on the following schedule:

QR41 DOH 00:50 – 06:55 CDG (Daily)
QR42 CDG 08:55 – 16:20 DOH (Daily)
This service is currently scheduled to offer Qsuites Business Class through 30 April 2019.
