Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seatA video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.
They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.
The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.
All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.
Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

I find it odd that so many are currently showing as q suites, I agree with others and think its some kind of ploy. Surely they cannot have that may aircraft already equipped with suites?

The number of Q-Suite offered routes looks correct to me - I don't see any shenanigans going on here from QR to try and suck people in.
There are currently 11 x B77W's, 2 x A359's, 1 x A35K and 1 B77L active in service with Q-Suites and multiple further deliveries to follow over the next few months from both Airbus and Boeing.
All looks fine to me.

I'm on 833 BKK-DOH tomorrow night, originally in F on a 388. Just got an email telling me that equipment has been changed to a 77W. Disappointed as I had been looking forward to F in the QR 388, which I have enjoyed a number of times in the past. Was just getting ready to call QR to get my seat changed since I have been assigned to 1A in a 2-2-2 layout, which I hate. I want a center aisle.
Until.... I looked at the seat map on EF and found QSuites!
Edited to add: Just checked with QR on the phone. Yes, it's a QSuite 77W. Yessssssssssss!!!!

27% of 77W have Q Suites (12/45)
23% of all A350s (including the sole A350-1000) have the Q Suites (6/26) *not including the two LATAM A359s
11% of all 77L have Q Suites (1/9)
With more 77W and A350s being delivered, there will be better chances for more long-haul destinations to be served with Q-Suites.

Nor mine. Flying ARN-DOH-CBR // CBR-DOH-ARN in November. Would be nice to have Q-Suites on the long overnight flights.
I hope you are correct. Personally I booked a few flights as non q suites , which are now showing as Q suites so essentially either I luck out or status quo. But so many people are posting q suite routes/flights that the 15 planes you have mentioned surely wouldn't service all those routes. maybe they have several new planes ready in the next few months.

Flying QR8 LHR-DOH in a week. Booked last year. Was originally in 3EF but mixup during ticketing caused flight to get dropped from our PNR for a couple of days. From then on, QR wouldn't assign us to center seats. Tried many call centers, lounge agents, airport agents, etc., but to no avail. A few days ago I noticed that 1EF and 3EF were now showing assigned rather than blocked on EF, so called and agent easily put us in 5EF. Disappointed that we couldn't get 3EF (5EF is close to the galley so may get more noise and likely gets served later than 3EF, while 1EF will likely lack overhead bins due to flight deck crew rest).
