Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seat

A video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

Photos of the new Q Suite can be seen here - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28007634-post109.html

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.

They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.

The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.

All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.

Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

Which routes have Qsuites?
Details and changes can be found in the various recent threads.

As to other routes NO ONE KNOWS!

I repeat NO ONE KNOWS!! so do not ask!

Same here. I run hot as well, so I definitely like having an air nozzle (or three).

I flew FRA-DOH (on the 35G) and J was completely full. Despite the lack of center bins, there was plenty of bin space for everyone. The bins over the aisle seats are quite large.

I'd go for 5A/5K only because it's a bit farther from the lavs/galley than 1A/1K. However, I think row 1 would be perfectly fine on the 77W. I flew in 1K on the 35G (right next to the lav) and there was zero lav/galley noise.

Looks like 7K is located near the front edge of the wing.

A7-BBA is being reconfigured and will be out next week. IAH is daily Qsuites starting on 01 October except for a few 77W flights.

near front edge, you have that BIG engine in sight.
Loved the seat, near that "standing room only bar", but close enough to appreciate that big "overhead dome", as far as I remember an extra storage closed, only downside is, everybody from eco is walking by you during boarding.
Otherwise relatively private since most business pax like to sit up front.

Do you know if they'll be reconfiguring another one right after BBA? They changed to daily Qsuites from January in QR773 so that means (if IAH is staying daily as well) they would need to have at least 3 Qsuite 772s by then..

OP was asking about the A359 equipped with Qsuites. Pretty sure there’s no bar on that configuration.

I recently sat in 8K . It was only a 4 hour flight from IST-DOH but I had no issues with the position of the seat

When lounging in 8K you only see the wing and the engine and nothing else.

indeed, I was wondering where they could fit the bar on the seat map
BTW do you know if in case of the middle pair is empty it could fit well as double bed or not ?

They do not fit as double bed. The lower part of the leg is stuck in a hole. Even on E&F there is a fixed separator. hence it can be a double from the knee upward, but not down.

My wife and I are booked ORD<>DOH, and we currently have the E/F seat combo booked for the double bed each direction. Does anyone have thoughts on whether this is really a better seat than some of the others? We both enjoy a good window view, like in rows 10 or 8, but would be willing to sacrifice that if the double bed is really a great benefit. What are the overall thoughts on it? These will be the longest flights we have ever been on, so I think a window view would be nice, but so would the extra room of the bed.

Did the view change as you went along, like a window view is expected to? Did the engine do interesting things?
