Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seat

A video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

Photos of the new Q Suite can be seen here - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28007634-post109.html

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.

They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.

The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.

All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.

Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

Very disappointed as it was to be my first QSuite flight, but not the biggest shock in the world I suppose.

Still a chance you will get a A350-900 with Qsuites. QR15 was due to be regular seats but changed to QSuites

Noticed that QR5/6 are changing from 788 to 77W in around a week. What the chances of these having Q suites over the old style product?

QR 702/704 are both operating JFK-DOH with QSuites tomorrow, likely due to the snow storm. Too bad it isnt for Friday, when i'm flying the AM flight.

My friend is on 704 - and is what we would consider lucky as it's being operated by A7-BEL instead of the usual 359. Not everyone views it the same way though - she's a little upset, as she's never been on the 350 and was dying to try it. She'd already done the Qsuites out on 701 so this was a new thing. Horses for courses I guess.

Didn’t expect QR to upgrade the 77W to FRA given that A359 with Qsuites is coming in May. Good news to those FRA pax flying soon.

Haven’t tried the Latam J seats. Are they really that bad?

No, of course not. You can compare it with the QR B777 seats, just smaller table, less room for storing small personal items and somehow not so sophisticated.
But I admit, it´s complaining on high level.
But (again but ;-) ), i got used to QR A350 and QR B787 from MUC before and then it was a step back (in my personal opinion) implementing the LATAM lease...

I too, booked qr7 for May with cash, simply to try the Q suites and i dont even live in London.... U think Qatar will be sympathetic to me wishing to change the flight?!

Are any other A350-900s due for delivery before or early May?

Rule number 1 with QR is, never book a flight because of a specific aircraft - you never can be sure you´ll get it. They are notorious "changers" ;-)

I booked a trip to HK and am on QR16 to Doha on the 17th May. My seat map looks to be the old 777 with 2/2/2/ seats. Is that right? I thought LHR route only had the Q-Suite or 1-2-1 layout seats
