Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seat

A video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

Photos of the new Q Suite can be seen here - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28007634-post109.html

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.

They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.

The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.

All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.

Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

Which routes have Qsuites?
Details and changes can be found in the various recent threads.

As to other routes NO ONE KNOWS!

I repeat NO ONE KNOWS!! so do not ask!

I think you need to be addressing this as an issue of loosing a day of your holiday rather than anything to do with QSuite. Tell BA the new flight doesn't work for you.

I don't have the BA rebooking guidelines to hand but they might be able to help over on the BA forum.

QR708 is 351 every day in march. Ask for that.
Were you on QR710 originally?

Looking at booking a QR one-way that includes a Q-suite segment (DOH-JFK, flight 703). Expertflyer is showing all middle sections X'ed out, but if I try to book 2 seats on QR website, these seats seem to be available for selection. Unfortunately, wife wants to book her ticket separately to get the LPs from her CC spend. Is there any issue at all calling Qatar after two separate purchases, and having them link them so we can select Qsuite seats together?

How does that work exactly? I too have two bookings with QR for the same flights, one for me and one for my wife. I was already able to select seats on both reservations, so what benefit will linking give me? I'm OW Sapphire.

I don't know about "linking", but I have called and explained that we are travelling together. No problem.

Here is what I see when trying to book a single passenger reservation (one way)

Same flight, now with two passengers on the same reservation- I can now select center section seats.

In the first image, the center seats are showing as OCCUPIED, when they are not. They are blocked from seat selection unless you have 2 (or more) travelers together.

If you have 2 independent reservations, Qatar needs to somehow link them together (not sure how, perhaps just a notation in the record) indicating you are traveling together.
Or as just mentioned, call in to an agent and explain the situation.

A359/A35K QSuite Window Seat with Wing/Engine View

This must be buried in this thread somewhere, but for the aviation geeks who love the backwards wing view, Seat 3A/3K on A359 and Seat 5A/5K on the A35K offer a great view of the wing (flexing) and engine throughout the flight - no need to turn ones spine around!

This was the view on A35K, Seat 5K from DOH-JFK; I would choose 5A next time as the sun was hitting my face for most of the time. Sunscreen helped out though!

I can confirm as others have- After I booked my ticket, and my wife booked a separate ticket, where Q-suites were offered on 1 of the legs, I was able to get our seats assigned together in a center Q-suite. This was done completely through the chat feature on the QR website. It was pretty efficient. There was no way that I could find to do it without the assistance of someone at Qatar Airways.

We're flying from LHR > Toyko Haneda via Doha on November 6th and flying business class. When I check the seat reservations, I see Q Suite from LHR > Doha on a 777-300ER (18:45 flight), but no QSuite on the Doha > Haneda flight. Which is a A350-900 departing at 6:45am. According to articles this year, I see QR upgraded their flights from Doha > Haneda recently and they should be QSuite, and I even see mention of the A350-900 being the plane that should have it. I see right now they're using the 777, which changes to the A350-900 in November.

Does anybody know whats happening with the QSuite on flights to Haneda? I hear people getting downgraded to QSuite, but is it possible that the actual type of seat you can select on the QR app / site isn't up to date yet and still showing the outdated seats for that flight?

Theres plenty of non Qsuite 359 flying around.

Quickly checking EF, all HND flights (i just checked until 13th or something) are non Qsuite 359.
NRT even seems to be always 2-2-2 77W, so youre better off in the 359.

Right, i saw on various websites but then theres a bunch of websites saying they're using the QSuite, and I figured something must be up. Seems weird to put PR out about upgrading the route and then to have literally no flights with Qsuite.

I didnt realize 5K gave such good views while still being relatively forward. My last 35K flight earlier in the month had me in 9K, which gave *amazing* engine and wing views views:

Quad on 777

Flying QSuites for the first time SEA-DOH on 777. Which quad is best? For outbound, can pick rows 1+2, 5+6, 7+8, or 9+10 and inbound 1+2, 7+8, or 9+10. Currently selected 1+2 for both, but wondering about galley noise and lavs. Thanks!
