Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seat

A video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

Photos of the new Q Suite can be seen here - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28007634-post109.html

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.

They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.

The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.

All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.

Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

I've always thought the Q symbol was a lagging indicator...

QSuite is back at Boston starting today

I was booked for a flight out of Boston in 2 weeks time. It was a a350-900 with qsuite but then that got changed to a 777 non q suite , truly the worst . So I got switched to JFK on a A350-1000 but that got swapped to 777-300 with QSuite.
Now starting today it seems the a350-900 w QSuite is back at Boston. Let’s see if they will revert me back on my original flight ….

2 weeks is plenty of time for them all to change again many times

Calling a non QSuite 777 truly the worst is a bit melodramatic.

On my inbound 2 legs I have 777 with Qsuite but in the return my first leg is changed from a a350 to a a330 🤮 now that’s the true worst business class product on Qatar airlines. The second on 777 is okay it’s 0.5 inches less wide than the a350 seats 🤣🤣🤣

It appears that QR 703 from DOH-JFK has been cancelled after AA begins their non-stop DOH-JFK service. I was booked on this flight in QSuites for the summer and as of right now, my reservation is still intact.

However, QR isn't selling this flight after June 4, 2022. I was initially concerned when AA made the announcement of starting service since QR 703 departs DOH at 1:35AM and AA added their flight at 1:30AM.

I tried to get AA switch me to another QR flight since I'd much rather fly QR than AA. However, the schedule change isn't official yet but the writing is on the wall.

It appears QR 702 is still operating but QR 706 is replaced by AA 120, leaving JFK at 1AM

Yes, they also replaced NYC-bound A350 with B777 albeit with suite within the last couple weeks.

Boston is the only way to fly an A350-900 w QSuite now (North East Region). I had the chance to switch a bit ago but at that time Boston was running 777 w old. But a350 w qsuite has been running for the last week now at Boston.

btw Washington DC is getting some Qatar a350-1000 lately select days

I would not assume BOS is qsuite- over the last few months, it has been mostly non quite A359 with the qsuites 2-3x/week. More recently as you say older 77W. IAD more regularly receives A35K/77W (with q suite) I would say

BOS might be the only A359 with Qsuite, I haven't checked. LAX and SFO are A351. I just flew both a few weeks ago, and last week booked additional flights, and both were consistently showing A351s for any dates I checked. (Personally, I prefer the 777 Qsuite because the center seats have overhead bins and air nozzles, and the ratio of passengers to lavatories is much more favorable.)

i really wanted to try the A351 plus it’s not worth the risk at Boston with the A359 they love equipment change there and I can not justify paying so much for a 777 without Q suite . Is there much of a difference between A351/A359 vs a 777W (w qsuite ). The airbus may be newer but 777W is still a major plane in so many fleet throughout the world.

Aside from the A351 being quieter and smoother and having more oxygen, while the 777 has fewer passengers per lavatory, and air nozzles and overhead bins for the center seats, no.
