Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seat

A video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.

They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.

The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.

All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.

Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

Am booked on QR901 in March, PER-DOH. Booked only a couple of weeks ago. Disappointed that it has changed from QSuites, A350-1000 to A350-900 in the last couple of days.

Fingers crossed in might revert back. Though I'm not convinced.

Isn't the A350-900 still potential Q Suite?

Our flight next Monday, QR8 from LHR-DOH has had this change and QR customer service and seating plan all advise it's still Q Suite

Potential-yeah I believe it is. However at the moment the seating map is saying not QS. Hoping it changes.

Maybe a stupid questions.
I had an award booking (Class: U).

Flight was cancelled, now rescheduled to September.
New Booking class: J , Fare basis: UMILES1

Will I get miles for this flight or not?

Sorry for another basic question, but is there a reason why I see fairly wide-open availability 1/1/23 onwards for USA-DOH, but nothing for DOH-USA on BA (eg DOH-JFK)? QR is definitely loaded in since I can see potential connecting flights (eg QR149).

No, fare basis matters.

Very niche case but A350 screens are higher refresh rate and lower input lag. Plugging in Nintendo Switch to the HDMI is basically unplayable on the 777 Qsuites but is great on the A350-1000 I flew.

I am on A350 out of PHL. How do I tell if its the Qsuites setup?

It's 1-2-1 and EF says is referring to seats as Qsuites....

I'm not sure what you mean by "EF says is referring to seats as Qsuites". EF doesn't refer to anything as Qsuite, it doesn't use the term. If you look at the seat map in EF, Qsuite has a very distinctive staggered pattern. If you see 1-2-1 or 2-2-2, those aren't Qsuite. (1-2-1 on a 789 is QR's new Business Suite, a poor facsimile of Qsuite.)

Here's what Qsuite looks like on EF:

Here's a 1-2-1 layout:

Im pricing up DOH-MLE on QR 672, according to q-suite reference guides 672 should be q-suites but expert flyer shows old business layout?

MLE is now running using the CX leased aircraft up until around end of Oct. I assume anything beyond that point like my flight on the 31st is just placeholder, but if I had to bet I would bet on continued use of those CX planes.

Hello everyone, I'm a Qsuite noob. I read the wiki regarding seat selection and I'm still a little confused.

This will be a honeymoon flight and my fiancee and I each have 70,000k American Airline miles. So we will book the tickets separately. I read in the wiki that Qatar blocks off the middle quad seats so individual travelers can't ruin the quad. So what is the best way to request an E-F in an odd row? I read somewhere I might have to call and ask them to unlock a quad, but I'm not sure if that is still correct information.

Thanks for any help.

I've reached out on Facebook/Twitter and asked nicely and they've allocated middle seats for us. They have said no once but I think they checked my one world status and I got a message two days later that they had done it.

I am in the same situation out of ADL, pretty gutted and knowing my luck I'll get the regular A359. Is the swap related to the grounding / paint issue?
