Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seat

A video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

Photos of the new Q Suite can be seen here - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28007634-post109.html

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.

They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.

The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.

All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.

Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

Just noticed my seat map on flight QR832 next month has changed to Qsuites. Only showing forward cabin rows 1-6 with qsuites and everything behind economy seating, so not sure if this is a glitch or actual change.

I'm looking to book to Doha in a few weeks from the US.
When I look on QR's website the only flight that appears to be QSuite is the flight from PHL.

Has QR really pulled all QSuite aircraft from the US market except for PHL?

No, they haven't. I just checked EF for a date next week and LAX-DOH is Qsuite, as expected. My suggestion is to check EF.

qsuite tail numbers

Is there a list anywhere of the aircraft tail numbers (if this is correct term) with Qsuite?

Because of the virus, planes are all over the place and I noticed that a different aircraft is flying the route i am doing next week. I have 4 legs to my trip and I booked all as Qsuite but will be surprised if there aren't at least one or two changes by next Monday. If I am even able to fly at all to be honest. Thoughts are with those affected by the virus, and the people around the world who are now stranded because of closed borders

Flight Changes

Just been informed by Qatar Airways that a couple of changes have been made to my flights from BKK to DOH and on to EDI. It appears that my flights in June DOH to EDI and return are now to be in QSuites.

Another threat said A7-BAI and A7-BAU were also refurbished.

My apologies if this has been answered further up in the thread. I've searched everywhere and can't seem to find an answer.

Is there a history of QR's website not showing that a flight is Qsuites (with the gray Qsuites logo on the booking page) when indeed the flight is Qsuites? I'm looking at flights for January from DFW-DOH-CPT and both legs show the aircraft as an A350-1000, but it doesn't say that it is Qsuites. It gives us an option to go through PHL and that shows the little logo. I was under the impression all A350-1000 flights were Qsuites.

EDIT: It appears that QR's website is simply incorrect in many instances. I checked all flights for our routing on EF and it is indeed Qsuites. Not sure why QR's website isn't tracking on that. Regardless, we ended up booking through PHL, which - for whatever reason - does show as Qsuites on the QR website, so we should be set barring any aircraft swaps.

I noticed the exact same issue on many routes - QR’s website just doesn’t display correctly. I guess the only thing to be mindful is capturing evidence that the flight was originally a QSuite flight after you book it, in case there is a subsequent change of equipment.

Does anyone know if there are any aircraft currently being refurbished? And by this I specifically mean changing over the 77Ws, 359s and 77Ls from their current J seats to Q-suites? I would have thought now would be a good time to do this as the large majority of aircraft are not being used?

Also, it would keep engineers/technicians/operators responsible for refurbishing these aircraft in jobs as well.

Hello,
Three of us (me, my wife, our son) will be traveling next Spring, and as of now the flights are in Q Suites.
I called in yesterday to the US office, and we were assigned seats 3E, 3F, and 2G in the first flight (777 version) and 5E, 5F, and 4G in the second flight (350-1000).
The Qatar representative herself said, let me give you Q-Suites before assigning these seats.
Does this make sense?

Am I correct that the seats should have been 3E, 3F and 4G (not 2G), and 5E, 5F, and 6G (not 4G)?
If so, perhaps I should call again and request this change?
(I realize -- many things can change between now and next year, and who knows how international travel will be in the near / medium term future etc.)
But I guess no harm asking, since this would be our first time in Q Suites.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes. In Qsuite quads, odd rows are forward of even rows. So, rows 1 and 2 face each other in a quad, rows 3 and 5 face each other in a quad, etc. (not counting quad breaks for bulkheads).

Here's a screenshot from EF for a QR A351:
