Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seat

A video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

Photos of the new Q Suite can be seen here - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28007634-post109.html

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.

They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.

The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.

All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.

Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

Is there a way we could ask the check in desk to assign us "sleep" next to a young cute lady in one of those double bed seat?

I'm sure I read somewhere that you could use the contactless (NFC) between the seat and your phone to transfer a pre-selected playlist into the IFE system.

Anyone else who bought the "Sake Fare" hoping the QSuite shows up on AMS-DOH sooner rather than later?

I think it's more likely to see it on the DOH-NRT/HND sector first.

Are there any further information for WHEN we can expect the Qsuites on the Paris route (except from "LHR, CDG, JFK will be the first routes")?
I need to book DOH-CDG flights for July this week - and I would like to avoid betting on a 777 and getting the old C while A350/380 would have been my other options.

CrazyBird welcome to the QR forum.

In answer to your question it is thought that retrofitting of the 773s will start in June or July at the rate of two or three month.
Other than that it is expected that all new aircraft deliveries will be fitted with the new seat where possible.

With the expected number of deliveries of A350s there is probably a greater chance on a A350 than a B773.

But as with almost everything QR NO ONE KNOWS!!

So you will need to buy wifi first before being able to pay your goods?

I am in the exact same situation but instead with LHR where I'll probably book onto the 350. Late June returning end of July. How can we track upcoming deliveries of new aircraft into a fleet/expected delivery etc? Is there any method of finding this information? Sorry in advance if I'm going off topic from this thread...

Full page advertisement for the new Q Suite in this morning's FT (the UK edition, at least). Shows four business people (all men, the day after IWD) in the four-seater centre arrangement.

Looks as though QR are going to push this new cabin hard, even months before it appears in service.

Isn't it funny in that advert that the guys who have hooked up the computer and iPad are essentially presenting to themselves?! You'd have thought they've have hooked them up to the screens on the opposite side! Unless the screens are able to mirror to the neighbouring suites?
