Reasonable assessment I think, nice-ish place to spend time if you have to but don't think worth a major detour for like, say, The Pier F, might be. I'd put the HND F lounge a little above LHR GF, NRT F about on par (but with [better] sushi) and the J lounges a bit above an LHR GC.

JL removed the complimentary 10 min massage from the lounges since Sunday but if you fancy massage chairs, it's a good substitute.

Other fancy touch would be the sushi bar in NRT and live teppanyaki in HND, however take note of the schedule as both don't operate all-day.

Go on then, who were the about 8 other people (!) who transferred from the Haneda flight to the Brussels one this morning. I was 3K then 2K. I think nearly half the flight must be on Flyertalk...

I flew HND-DOH-BRU today, in 3A and 3A. Checked a bag at HND through to LHR... which didn't make it to the plane with me. -_-

:/ I re-checked at Brussels, it's not the most organised airport and imagine the plane/gate switch caused issues today. Hope you get it back!

Hopefully someone can help me understand the fare rules. After outbound flown, changes are permitted without repricing asssuming original fare basis is still available. My fare basis is listed as Rxxx whilst my new booking code is D. I assume that, as long as D is available, I can change flight for the fee ($300)?

I guess you got that D booking class after requesting a rebooking to QR due to a flight time change.
As now you seem to want to change your flight schedule without the benefit of a time flight change, you not only need to pay change fee, but probably also have to find availability in R (your original booking class). Just try to change your ticket on QR website (if it works) or just call QR to know exactly if you need R or D availability.

Thanks.

My partner needs to go back earlier and I might join him. Flight currently is R1, D4. I don't mind the change fee but obviously the reprice doesn't exactly help on this fare if required... booked him a separate miles ticket just in case. Given wait time is always around 30min I was just going to wait until I needed it done.

The refund hit my credit card 24 hours after they emailed me to say it could take up to 28 days.

I simply can't fault QR on the way they have handled this - especially as I was expecting to get absolutely nothing back!
