I know on Virgin it only played audio and pictures, With extremely limited video options I believe it was AVI however you might find that it is dependant on aircraft and IFE system

What do you guys think?
From a post by Mark_T on the AA rollout of the 773:

It is a Panasonic eXport - http://boardingarea.com/aadvantagege...inment-system/

The Boardingarea post is 404 but Google is your friend

Looks like the eXport is dead, and was pretty much dead by the time it was released as they only ever made an eXport to 30pin connector, a eXport to lightning connector cable was never made.

Wierd that they are still fitting these eXport sockets in new aircraft when virtually no-one is using it or can use it. I guess it's a case that the cable and connector is included on the wiring loom so they might as well fit it...

With anything aircraft related, once your widget is certified (STC or whatever), the pain of changing anything and getting re-certified is probably what will keep that connector installed but unused for a while (i.e. new IFE/seats)
