Need advise please
Hey guys
I will fly with QR from PEK to LHR soon.
On my return leg I have 18 hours of transit time in DOH.
And I have been told that no transit hotel will be given.
I have two options now which I have no idea which is the best for me.
1/ I can pay 100RMB (~£10/~$15) to re-book a new flight with shorter transit time
Or
2/ I can pay 692RMB (~£70/~$105) to upgrade my flight to biz(only DOH to PEK) so that I can use the proper business class lounge in DOH for 18 hours
Also is that worth a try to ask for transit hotel when I arrive in DOH transit desk giving that I have gold with them😆?

18 hours in a lounge? ARE YOU MAD?
Either spend the money for a hotel room, or change flights so you have a shorter stopover. You can probably upgrade on your new flight for the same amount and experience the lounge and get sleep on the flight too. Win-win all round.

kevin071 I personally would take the first option because:
Your transit would otherwise be an overnight.
The airport hotel is very busy, expensive and requires booking in advance.
You will not be able to take advantage of the Free City tour
Your journey will be so much shorter.
The above is based on your DOH-PEK flight being QR896. If it is QR892 then you may be able to take the free City tour.
