Likely for the same reason we have been advising of for a while...QR have more proposed A350 routes than physical airframes.
For the umpteenth time this year - NEVER PICK A ROUTING PURELY FOR THE TYPE OF AIRCRAFT

It's just a few days seeing the equipment swap.
The 359 is scheduled to be back starting 6/13.
Having said that, you never know what you'll get with QR until you get to the airport, so seeing a particular aircraft type months out does not mean much.

wripro there is no cause for worry yet. The schedules for November are not yet available.
The A350 is scheduled to be replaced by a B777 on 8,10,11,12,16,28,30 June with a similar pattern until the middle of July when the A350 appears to be daily again.
With the shortage of wide bodied aircraft, especially the A350, then anything could happen.

Any educated guesses for August? I'm booked on the 777 but have been considering moving to the 350 even though it greatly increases travel time and forces the expense of a hotel in DOH. Too risky?

jamienbaker DO NOT even think about it! There have been many promises, especially Airbus, about deliveries of A350s. You should should wait until deliveries are actually made and the situation has stabilised before even considering changing flight.
As has been said many, many times over the last few months 'Do not select your flights for a particular aircraft type.' It will lead to disappointment.

Folks - I get that. I'm not new to this. But once we get close in, I do tend to massage my schedule in hopes of maximizing aircraft utility. Sounds like I should track tail numbers (which I always do for international flights from airports without spares) and try to revise my flight only once assured the inbound aircraft is indeed a 359. Of course by then, no awards!
