stagsfan according to https://www.oneworld.com/ffp/lounge-access 'No1 Traveller Lounge'. Be careful since there appears to be two different lounges with the same name at BHX.

That page was referring to the same lounge, but for some reason separated off the AA passengers from the normal oneworld members.
I've been through the airport regularly in the last year. I dropped the No 1 lounge as a PP customer, because of the bar, and the resultant 5 minute wait for every drink. Food looked nice when I was there. I go to the Aspire lounge, which is self serve.

Agree with smid regarding the bar. The No 1 Traveller lounge is nicer than Aspire and has a far better food choice but the bar is not self serve and as they are woefully understaffed the usual situation is that one person is in the kitchen heating up food or setting out food on the buffet, the other is at the front desk attending to people arriving. The bar is only attended when there is no one waiting for access to the lounge. You can wait for ages for a drink.

With regards to your query, we would like to inform you that if you are departing from BHX we regret that there will be no free access to BHX lounges. For further information you may check thru this link: http://www.qatarairways.com/global/en/airports-and-lounges.page.

No business lounge for Qatar customers
I also managed to get a great business fare from BHX and I contacted Qatar about bus lounges in BHX. They replying saying

Bluebrummie2000 you do not give much information so my answer is guesswork. Aer Lingus is not a Oneworld member but is a Gold Circle member. As far as I can see certain ticketing classes ( W, A, Z, U and T) do not appear to qualify for miles, lounge access etc. Also being a codeshare flight you need to consider who was the Marketing carrier (Whose flight number was on your ticket)? Who was the operating carrier( supplied the aircraft for the flight)? It is not really a topic that can be fully answered on the QR forum.

I don't see QR surviving very long on any route if they don't provide lounge access.

Look at the list of lounges on the QR website. Not only is BHX not included, neither are Adelaide or Sydney (and probably many others). I think this is a case of QR failing to update the lounges page for new destinations and the person at QR simply looking at the page and assuming there is no lounge.

Whilst QR are just too lazy to update their list of lounges there are always Oneworld lounges that can be used.
The Oneworld site is also lacking QR at ADL and SYD and possibly elsewhere. The FT Qatar forum has a list but it is in a sorry state having been moved from a Wiki to an 'ordinary' posting with the unintended consequence that only one person can update it.
