Change Flights Fee Waiver.
 

Booked in for flights and then taken into Emergency Hospital a few hours before flight.

It seems unlike other airlines Qatar sometimes imposes the penalty fee for flight changes even in emergency situations.

Have asked them to waiver the fee and waiting to hear .

What are my chances and anything I should do to help my case?

My mother had a cancer scare and had to stay in the UK for tests - missing her flight and she was on restricted economy ticket, but was able to change her flight..
