This has probably been answered but I (honestly) have searched. I’m transiting DOH in a few weeks. Travelling in J (C) so have AM access. As OW Sapphire, am I able to guest a PC Gold travelling QR inbound P and outbound Y or will I have to wave to him from the elevation of the AM lounge? 😄
Thanks
Thanks

We've enjoyed few times Al Mourjan the last few months....but seems it's over. As a Gold member with QR...I cannot find a simple info, from now on...which lounge do I have access to. Sorry if this has been asked and answered before.

Silver lounge near gate B1 if using status. If your class of travel gives lounge access then it'll be Al Safwa for First and Al Mourjan for Business.

Does anyone have more details on when the gold lounge will open and OWE on P fares can use that one?
I am transiting on the 30th this month 6am to 7.30am. Hoping for a shower but seems I would have too little time.

90 minutes seems a reasonable transit time. If I was you I'd head straight to the showers near the sandwich bar and join the queue. You might get in quicker than you expect.

Any updates on alcohol in the lounge now that Ramadan has begun? I know in years past it continued to be available, but I also read that last year it was not served during Ramadan...

It seems to have been confirmed in the Ramadan related thread, that alcohol can be requested in the lounges, but is not kept on display.

First time at AM
We have flight scheduled CPT-DOH-JFK with 1 he 35 min layover (11:40p - 1:15a). We’ve experienced all the J CX and QF lounges in HKG. What is the concencus on AM duration? Is 1.35 enough time or keep looking for flights with longer layover to get more out of the lounge?

I think I read somewhere that additional security is required for US bound flights, so you might not be looking at much lounge time at all (but obviously this depends on your preference).
That being said, if the choice for connecting flight was between ~95 minutes and ~8hrs, I'd probably go the former and forgo the time in lounge.

I transited HIA yesterday, and at the downstairs food area in Al Mourjan a few bottles of wine were on display, although nothing like the normal number. Lots of people eating there were happily quaffing fizz etc. Upstairs in the main food area, there were zero bottles on display, but again a number of people nursing glasses of what was clearly wine/beer.
That seems to be a very pragmatic solution, keep it available, but don't flaunt it

We flew CPT-DOH-SFO very recently, with a 2-hour connection time. We didn't bother with the lounge, given the extra security screening for US-bound flights and the fact that it was breakfast time in the lounge, so crowded and not our favorite meal. But then, we prefer to board first, to have time to claim bin space (QR A350s lack center overhead bins, so we like to board first to be able to stow our bags near us before the window passengers arrive). If you prefer to board late, then you'd be able to have a visit to the lounge.
