Qatar Airways Forum Dashboard feedback thread
 

As you can see, Zol and msm2000uk have introduced some changes to the way the stickies are organised. Taking our cue from other forums, we adopted their best practices and modular approach whereby valuable content and FAQs launch from a single flexible sticky thread. This effectively hands back valuable real estate to you for your daily reading and discussion, and avoids sticky overload. A great deal of thought went into the efficiency and effectiveness key pre-existing information and content is presented to you. So in response to this a new http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/qatar...dashboard.html has been created which contains widgets that will direct you those popular threads you revisit time and time again. If you'd like to see other threads added, please feel free to shout out and post your nominations here.

We trust this graphically enhanced user interface will improve navigation and access to the threads you're looking for. Do note, widget functionality requires you to enable images in your user settings. Mobile phone users will benefit from an optimised experience when viewing FT in full site mode.

Its a big a step forward as this forum will only get busier as QR continues its rapid growth (and excellent fares).

Perhaps a bit cheeky of me to feed this back, as it's not strictly about the dashboard, but could there ever be a "flame free" newbie thread in the BA forum? I find it's so cluttered and there are too many duplicates, whereas the in the QR forum most of that junk is in the newbie thread, thus I prefer the QR Forum :)

It would encourage more posts from people who don't want to upset the regulars, and no question would be too stupid (in theory...)!

This is another great example of the behind the scenes work that is done for FT to make it such a great resource!

I'm sure I speak on behalf of Zol, Prospero, and myself:p when I say that I'm glad QR FTers are happy with the Dashboard.

As and when we feel there are more threads to be added, we will duly add them; hence the Ramadan thread was added earlier this week.

Prospero many thanks to you, the QR Ambassador and Moderator for all the very hard work you have put into the dashboard. I find it indeed to be a very useful tool.

Whilst you were preparing the dashboard one thread changed its name. The 'Qatar Airways one hundred lounges' was renamed 'Qatar Airways' lounges (outstation)' which is more understandable for casual users of the dashboard. Could we prevail on you to change the dashboard text so that it is the same as the thread name.

Do you think we could have a widget for short DOH connections, as this topic comes up quite frequently. Perhaps this thread?
