24 seats in J?

Our B777-300 is showing only 24 seats in J from LHR-DOH-HKT on Feb 13th/14th, not what is shown in the wiki. I have 5 A/B for both legs. any comments please.

Thanks

There are 24-J 777-300 (4 rows) and 42-J 777-300 (7 rows) with the old seats in the QR fleet.
(edit: which actually contradicts seats 5 A/B existing on the 24J config)

I always avoid rows 1/4/5. Too noisy. I am not sure about your specific flight, bur Row 4 is noisy and there is a missing window.

My experience is that service starts at row 1 and 4 so I’d choose row 2.

Two seats together in 7 with window-is this a better option?

You have a risk of bassinet noise from behind in 7.

I would clarify that the seats 12D, 20D and 32D (43 row) or 12D, 27D, and 39D (50 row) do not have an IFE box in front of them. The seats immediately in front are very slightly misaligned, there is a 'handle' in front of your face and there is a risk of the trolley / other passengers brushing your legs if you stretch out, but I found the extra legroom very comfy.

I also note that in the exit rows, seat C (and I presume seat G also) also risks interaction with the trolley / other passengers, because the passageway at the galley / toilets is not aligned with the aisle so the trolley has to manoeuvre around your legs. But there is a lot of room there.

I hope these photos show what I mean.
Flying ORD-DOH in May and the row numbers don't quite align with anything I have seen posted The Y cabin starts at Row 16. From the pictures it looks like the "D" seats are the ones with the extra legroom when there is a misaligned seat but the seatmap for my flight, it appears to be the "G" seats in Rows 19, 25 and 37 are the ones with no seat in front. I snagged 25D thinking that the "D" seats are the actual extra legroom seats.

Can anyone confirm which is correct?

QR is flying a 777 with Qsuites to Chicago starting in April. I’m not sure if that changes anything for Economy row numbering but that may be why you are seeing discrepancies.

Hi guys, we will be flying B777 in Y, and I'm curious about some specific seats. It seems our B777 will be "V1" (3-4-3, like this on SeatGuru), and I wonder how good/bad are twin seats at Row 17. SeatGuru says those seats have limited recline, and there's IFE box under the seat in front. Maybe someone has real-life experience with those seats, maybe some pics? Should we stick with those seats, or choose another (lets say, Row 16)?

looking to book DOH-IAD in J for Feb 2019. currently showing old 777 layout (it currently is showing Qsuites thru October)...i imagine its likely this will change at some point to Qsuites beyond october...

As far as seat selection, if I select seats according to the current seat map, will i retain those same row/seat assignments if/when they swap the Qsuites aircraft?

Is this a Qsuites 777ER layout?

I am flying DOH-FRA in a 777ER and manage my booking won't let me select a seat. Looking at the seat map in MMB (which I can't interact with) is this a Qsuites layout and as a solo traveller have they locked me out of seat selection until T-24 or something?

Thanks

Hong Kong service

How much longer will HKG have to suffer with the old 2-2-2 config 777 angled J seat?
