transit DOH different airlines

Hello, I have an upcoming trip that is
GRU-DOH with Qatar
Doh - AUH with ETIHAD

but Iīm transiting to AUH (6 hours layover at DOH) , How can I check my baggages again? Is the transfer desk at Doha able to do that for me, without I leave the transit/securit airport area? Since Iīm brazilian I CAN NOT get a visa on arrival or any kind of transit visa.

Qatar and Etihad have an interline? So I can leave Gru with my baggage already tagged to my final destination (Auh)?

thanks

I would not expect QR to check your bags to AUH. The baggage belt is behind immigration, so that you cannot recheck it without entering Qatar.

Possible remedies:
- buy a DOH-AUH flight with QR
(actually GRU-AUH is cheaper than GRU-DOH, why did you book to DOH?)
- arrange for a hotel booking and apply for tourist visa
(can be done via QR webpage)

I should have asked whether you are on one ticket or on separate ones?

If the latter holds, see above...

Otherwise, QR have to check your bags through.

Hi.
Separate tickets.
Leg 1: Gru-Doh Business class booked with Smiles-Gol miles 100k
Leg 2. Doh - Auh also business booked with AA miles 25k

Thatīs the reason why is booked this way.

So, it doesnīt make any sense to book a hotel and then pay for the visa just to get the baggage and re-check.

They donīt have any interline agreement?
Thereīs a transfer desk in Doh right before the screening scan to re-enter the airport lobby, arenīt this supposed to deal with baggages in cases like this?

edit:

This will be my third time in doh airport:
first: got the visa and stayed for 3 days
second: just transit with Qatar to HKG
this time: have no clue how they going to handle this

Seems to me that you could have booked Leg 2 on QR with AA miles as well. As far as I see, changing your AA award ticket would cost $150 unless you have Executive Platinum status.

The question isn't whether the two carriers have an interline agreement. They do.

The question is whether QR will interline to EK across two tickets. It could, but it won't. Unless you are extremely lucky and find an agent who is willing to break the rules for you, it will not happen. You certainly should not count on it happening.

different tickets, no checked luggage

Just to continue on a similar issue. Will be arriving in DOH on a QR flight from HAN and flying out on PC to SXF via SAW on a separate ticket. PC does not allow web-checkin in DOH, that's why I would be interested, if it would be possible to check-in for the PC flight airside, preferrably at the transfer desk? My +1 has a Russian passport, therefore cannot easily exit the transit area (whereas I, German, can). We have no checked luggage as written above!
