I had this happen to be on the BKK route. I called US call center to no joy. Called the Doha call center via Skype, one call and done. I was able to move to an A380 flight, and I convinced them to change my final destination from Pisa to Frankfurt to also try the A350. You can always use the if it's boeing, I'm not going (or the other way around). I did specifically mention that I was hoping to write about the 380, but no research was done as to who, why or what. Just my experience...

I don't know but the cheapest from Europe is VIE-CPT, for 1260 GBP return with MASTERCARD discount code.

Flying in Jan 2018, so MASTERCARD doesn't work...

Shadowline : I would wait for a better promotion (probably another Travel Festival by the end of August) for a flight in Jan 2018

Just booked MAN-BKK for £1600 in J. It's as cheap as I've seen for a while from any ME carrier from MAN.

Atlanta to Kilimanjaro, Tanzania

I am looking for a business class ticket from Atlanta to Kilimanjaro, Tanzania in January. The current price is around $5300 is that a good price or should I wait for it to drop further?

That's a rather regular price. JRO isn't the most discounted destination, if you insist on QR and the routing ATL-DOH-JRO, you will need some luck for a significantly better offer.
But if you are somewhat flexible (eg starting at another east coast airport, taking a detour over NRO, use another airline...) your odds are rather good that something better will come up.

I am flexible on the airline and origin? What cities and airlines do you suggest?

Oh I didn't mean right now, rather that your odds increase that something better will come up.
Last year, there was a big QR sale around the end of August and then another one this year at the beginning of January (but that might be too risky to wait for). It's quite possible that you would get something for around $2000, perhaps even less.
Qatar serves several airports that are reachable by ~1h flights from ATL.

However, there's absolutely no guarantee, it's all speculation. But if the current best offer is around $5000, I wouldn't feel pressured to buy as soon as possible, at least not if I don't need to be on a very particular flight.

Yes probably the demand on J is always high. Just wondering when would QR upgrade the 788 s. How about one 359 and one 788 daily?
