Best Option to use 9000 expiring Qmiles in US?

Dear Qmiles Gurus..

I have around 9000 Qmiles which are expiring in Dec. What are the best options to make use of it in US rather than let it expire. I have no travel plans in AA until the end of the year. Are there any lesser known options like car rentals or shopping to make use of these miles..

I am in similiar situation with 12,600 qmiles expiring. Can I redeem them for magazines or some electronics? Or can they be transferred anywhere?

Given QR's excessive pricing of short haul awards, that' the only reasonable choice. Another alternative would be duty free at DOH, but that's very bad value too.

By way of comparison, and not that it helps the OP, but Etihad has an excellent shop for redeeming miles, with a wide range of good-quality (IME) goods !

It comes to something, when Etihad beats Qatar hands-down, on something !

Use it to buy a ticket to one of the QDF drawings. You can't win if you don't play....
