Qatar's First A350
Qatar Airways have just posted three photos of their fully painted first A350 on their Facebook page.
https://www.facebook.com/qatarairways Looks pretty awesome to me! Interesting that the "racoon eyes" are staying. |

This still planned to start with DOH-JFK in December as originally proposed? Or have there been any delays?
|
December of which year?
(-: SS |
She's a real beauty in the QR livery.
When is PER planned to start? I seem to recall that was slated as an early route for the type. |
I wonder why AAB has been quiet about the configuration and product. Could we be seeing an upgraded J and Y seat?
|
Surely they won't be changing the already awesome J product of the 787/380? I'd expect exactly the same setup to be honest.
|
I heard they will have an entirely new design for the business class on the a350 is that true?
|
Now that all the fanfare of the A380 is over, do we have any leads on the allegedly new "super business class" for the A350? From what AAB has said, it is different from the current J cabins featured on their 787s?

iluvdoco,
A350 will be delivered with the same J class seat as the 787 and A380, this was mentioned by John Leahy of Airbus at Farnborough 2012. The new seat is not until mid-2016 according to QR statements to the press. |

A350-900 Certified
The A350-900 received its European certification yesterday:
http://www.flightglobal.com/news/art...50-900-404287/ QR should receive their first airframe before the end of 2014. Exciting times! *Edited to correct the year. However, I won't hold my breath.... |

If the A380 is anything to go by, perhaps the first uncorrected post will be more correct! ;)
