The fleet type codes such as 77P or 77K are what can be used to identify the type of aircraft under "Check Routing" on www.qrcargo.com. The aircraft type on QR Cargo is fairly accurate if you search for a flight within the current calendar month.

nope, solo traveller. I usually get the aisle and though I miss having windows, it's also nice to stretch out all I want? I'm very small sized and even then sometimes I find that RH can be cramped. Especially footwells when sleeping as I'm a side sleeper, and I'm just not a big fan of having my feet constrained when sleeping. It also just makes the cabin seem more spread out. But I know it's an unpopular opinion

tbf it's not like I have a huge preference for 2-2-2 over RH, it's more like I'm not unhappy to get it over RH, but would prefer Qsuite for privacy even if they have small footwells too.

Also 777 vs A350 qsuite. I've flown back to back before and I think the difference is quite apparent. On the A350, because the plane is newer, everything just seemed more clean and crisp(?) idk how to describe the vibes. BUT stepping into the A350 after the 777, I feel like it was more cramped in comparison.

Interesting analysis. I used to like the old Continental 2-2-2 especially in the bulkhead. Still though I'd rather sit solo 100% of the time and loose some footwell space and maybe feel a bit more squeezed in.

So on the A350 Vs. 777 for Q Suites it is pretty much cleaner, newer, & tail cam on the former Vs. more spacious cabin & more lavs per passengers on the former? Is there any other major things to consider? On the A350 I forget are there overhead bins in the middle or the middle ppl share with the window bins?

Also, just want to confirm either option does have individual air nozzles?
The 777s have individual air nozzles for all seats. The A350s have them for window seats.

No overhead bins in the center of the A350. Surprisingly, many of my A350 QR flights there hasn't been a problem with bin space, but I have been on a few QR flights where people had to hunt out a bin that was far from their seat.

The noise, 777 is a old tech plane, insulation and air pressure is worst.

looks like my flight was just changed to qsuite! most of the true window seats are taken save 1K, i've never sat in row 1 on qsuite before but I saw someone else mentioning about the curve of the plane? Does anyone have any experience of qsuite row 1 on the 777 please?

Also, I haven't taken the A380 in 2 years but the "new" economy seat seems to be much smaller than the old ones? Should have brought my tape measure along

It seems like you have more space, but I wouldn't recommend sitting here. With the lights from the galley and being close to the bathroom row 3 or 5 are best.

thanks very much for the advice! 5K is blocked, hopefully it'll open up.

Otherwise it's the mini cabin for me, but I sat in the A350-1000 previously and found it awkward when my eyes meet my neighbours across the aisle in their forward facing seat lol! Not sure if 777 has the same issue.

Flying a 777-300ER next week, and I can't seem to find any info about exit row seats in regard to recline. Does anyone know what the deal is with this aircraft? I'm currently in 23, which is listed as the first of two exit rows on the map (the second is 35; last row on the plane is 48).
Am I completely screwed with regard to recline in this row? I can't seem to find any reference at all to this particular configuration.

IIRC all seats recline as none recline into an exit row.

Anyone have thoughts on choosing row 22 on the A380? Right next to the bar area and maybe some Lav's. These are the seats we have picked currently and while I think they will be nice...will feel a bit more private, can pop in & out of the bar area....but my wife is afraid of the noise and being close to the lav's. Guessing I should probobly listen to her, but is there really that much noise? Are the lav's an issue?

Thanks

I'm looking at economy Dublin to either Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam, DUB > HAN or DUB > SGN. Looks like all routes are on a 788. Do any of the 787's have the new economy seat?

Flyertalk new seat thread

Do they still have IFE boxes on the floor on 787's? I like Qatar but 787's have been hit and miss for me, eg armrests don't go fully up, IFE boxes.

Boeing 787-8
788: horizontal J, B/E Super Diamond seat in 1-2-1 config., WiFi.
Boeing 787-9
789: Enclosed Suite in J, Adient Ascent seat in 1-2-1 config., WiFi.

Anything I see on flight-report.com 788 is from 2019 at the latest, showing old IFE screens

Will QR ever complete refurbishing its remaining A320s that have the old school recliner seats (which I believe is still the majority of their A320 fleet)? They use these birds on quite long flights lasting over 5 hours to Europe.

Also, info should be updated to note that none of the A320s no longer have on board WiFi (even though some have the wifi antennas installed). I'm guessing they no longer pay the internet provider for the service. This has been the case since Covid started.
