Have a read of the 777-300 Seating Q&A in the QR Dashboard.

I'm on mobile so cannot link directly.

The socket is right in the middle, facing the gap between the IFE screens.

You may want to take a US two-prong adapter just in case.

whoops typo! I meant the 200LR is it located in the same place?

Flying in Dec myself, would be nice to have the new layout, but as QR are basically giving away CMB-DFW J fares, I'm not going to complain!

A couple of notes:

1. There is an article on Aero.de about QR's new business class, not much info other than the target launch is now 1Q2017. No reason was given, new seats have a lot of certification and production issues in general and that is why their development takes multiple years.

2. No sign of progress on QR A380 #8, so the 01/2017 target is not attainable as it takes 6 months from roll out to delivery on average. The schedule posted in the GDS for 01/2017 to 03/2017 is doable with 7 A380s but with very little slack, so I do predict maybe around 2-4 A380 flights a week to be swapped out to create slack and deal with A380 specific IRROPS, with BKK to be the more likely candidate for swaps.

Hi everyone,

Can someone please give me a feedback on row 1 on the A330. The extra foot room seems nice for a redeye but is the proximity with the galley to not bothersome ?

Thanks

Jeff_ please remember that the seats in row 1 are narrower than others due to the table and IFE screen in the arms.
It is worth noting that there are also toilets in front of row 1.

Thanks for the quick answer remdk. I forgot that point in that case I'll avoid row 1.

I think there might be a mix up between first row economy and business. Row 1 in QR's A330 business has the same width seats and the TV's are on a bulkhead monument in the BE Diamond configuration and in an extension to the center console which doesn't effect seat width in the BE Minipod configuration.

I would go for row 1 if available, especially if you get the B/E Diamond seat there is a big difference in the foot well size. Also I find galley noise less of an issue on QR than most other airlines, QR uses thicker curtains and also reducing galley noise is a point emphasised in training.

Thanks N1 for the long-awaited updates. I wonder if QR might actually announce it soon, but roll it out next year though. I predict it will be something like the new DL cabin (which is nice) but with extra bell and whistles.

As for The A380s, I personally believe QR is getting its hands full with those; they seem to be used arbitrarily. I personally do not think QR will order more.

Hope SYD is a permanent destination. JFK needs it, as well as an Indian destination like BOM, (can't believe they are allowed 1 daily flight!)

Thanks N1Rotate, yes my bad I should have mentionned first row of Buisness class. If the seat is not affected I will monitor the release of row 1 seats.
Thanks again

agreed with N1Rotate! , if it's the B/E Diamond seats you should definitely go for Row 1! I've taken it on the A340 quite a few times and the difference is huge.

They originally wanted to announce it in November, that could still be the case. There is the World Travel Market in London during that month.

A380 #8 is starting to have progress, based on the timeline June delivery is possible. I expect that #8 will act as maintenance cover and add slack to the A380 schedule during Summer 2017.

A321 J

Have flight from Amritsar to Doha in J on the A321, any hope these will get the newer flat seats found on A320 fleet?
