I have two flights coming up in QR F - DOH - AUH - DOH. Both flights are listed as A320. The seat maps all show 6 seats in F in a 2-2 config, but I looked at the Y cabin on expert flyer.

The first flight shows Y starting at row 8 and ending at row 34.

The second flight shows starting at row 8 and ending at row 28.

Can anyone shed any light on what configuration these flights will be? Thanks!
QR has two versions of the A320. One with 120 seats in Economy and one with 132 seats in Economy. Business class is the same on both versions with 12 seats with 2X2 in 3 rows.

jah718 there are two versions of the A320
Longhaul with lie flat seats in J and economy going to row 28 only
and
Shorthaul with sloping seats in J and economy going to row 34.

For many regional flights the J cabin is sold as F.

Thanks for the update guys. I looked at seatguru and the QR website and there was not a single seat map with the last row being 34. How hard can it be for QR to just put the correct seat maps on their site?

The ones that end at row 34 are the Al-Maha Airways A320s (A320M) with leather recliners in J. One has already been painted in QR colours but is still Al-Maha config on the inside. They are higher density with less seat pitch and are flown usually within the Gulf and Iraq.

The ones that end at row 30 (A320H) have recliners in J. Some are newer with AVOD in seat IFE and connectivity, some are older with no PTV and no connectivity.

The ones that end at row 28 (A320L) have the full flat seats in J.

rcrc11 there are two A330-200 aircraft that are supposedly "both leaving the fleet by 3Q 2016" and one three class A330-300 with sloping seats.
According to http://www.theqatarsource.com/qatara...tetracker.html during the last month 3 of the approx. 61 flights were with sloped seat A330-200 aircraft. All the remainder were with horizontal seats.

Hi - got a flight from LHR TO DOH on 21 July - QRCARGO shows it as being on 333H - seat map shows 5 rows of business class seats.

Will this be the refurbished Diamond seats?

Also, is arriving 2 hours before the flight at the airport check-in enough to experience the LHR lounge (depending on how many minutes before take-off they board business passangers)? Its an 8 a.m. flight!

dave83 welcome to flyertalk.

The Wiki on this thread says "333H: horizontal J, B/E Diamond seat in 2-2-2 config." so yes for this aircraft type.
There is only one 333 with sloping seats, the 3 class 333L all others have diamond seats.

The Wikis on the QR forum are usually up to date and accurate. A number of members work hard to ensure this.

I'm flying from London to Doha on the a330 in December and have seen many conflicting stories on the business class seats.

Will they be the new lie flat business seats or the old style seats?

avicov there is one 3 class A333 with sloping seats and two A332s with sloping seats. The A332s are supposed to have left the fleet by now but one of them has just entered maintenance.

So your chances of meeting one of them are not very great.

That's good news. I was worried if I might be encountering the old product.

Can you tell if the London flights have been all lie flat recently?

avicov according to http://www.theqatarsource.com/qatara...tetracker.html only one flight in the past month has been with sloped seats. It was the 3 class A333.

Remember that QR, due to no fault of their own, have an acute shortage of wide bodied aircraft so there are quite a number of equipment swaps. The first of the new aircraft has arrived and further deliveries are expected.

So potentially there could be new aircraft on the route at any pint this year?

What's the deal with the a330-300? Die a refit or to be taken out of service?

avicov the new aircraft (A350) are urgently required elsewhere so they will probably not be used DOH-LHR. There is an A380 scheduled for delivery at the end of the year and this will also probably be used on other routes.

The A333 was a 3 class aircraft and QR apparently wish to retain the F capacity as a back-up for the A380s. All other 3 class A330s have been refurbished and are now 2 class aircraft.
