77L will remain 3-3-3

Also I updated info for the 2 remaining A332 that have not been reconfigured. It looks like they will be here until 3Q 2016.

Just thinking if QR plans to move more A350 towards Chicago or other US cities.

Not too optimistic on those new B773 business class as QR has a history of over promise and under deliver

The 777 fleet will see a new J class towards the end of this year, and that will likely add WiFi.
Are they going to get rid of that awful 2-2-2 layout and change to something decent like the EY staggered layout or a herringbone?

Will be flying DOH-SYD J in a few months, and not looking forward to the disturbance if another pax needs to get out from the window. Last flew this sort of J layout in EK and am not a fan of it.

You should be able to select one of the centre seats for direct aisle access.

QR's seats have at least 20 inches more pitch than EK's layout. QR's J seats are six across, and very very spacious. There is enough space to scoot over the person next to you to get out. I would pick the center seats, as you can get the whole aisle just to yourself.

QR has 78" pitch, 22" wide seats (6 across) http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Qat..._777-300ER.php
EK has 60" pitch, 20.5" wide seats (7 across) http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Emi...ss_private.php

Even when compared to EK's A380, EK has 48" pitch, 18.5" wide seats (in a staggered layout), QR is still vastly superior. http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Emi...bus_A380_B.php

Safe travels,

My AMS-DOH flights in May are showing as 777s - one way with 24 seats and the other with 42 seats.

Well, EK is much worse, as they use 2-3-2. And: the QR 777 is much wider than the EK cabin..QR gives you almost First Class space in the 777. As much as i like the reversed herring bone on their A350 and 787, I start liking their 777 more and more. They give you 3 windows in C class..thats F standard in many airlines and much wider than EK. So dont worry abour anybody crawling over you) Actually, for couples i would even recommend their 777 over all other aircraft.

Most likely it should be A320 (12 J class and 122 economy) or A321(12 seats of J class and 165 Economy ) when are U leaving ?

DC10 according to http://www.theqatarsource.com/qatara...tetracker.html apart from 1 A321 and 1 longhaul A320 during the last 30 days all flights are shorthaul A320s. These have the shorthaul sloped seats in J.

If you check out the wiki, there are methods to determine which aircraft to expect. An easy way is to go to www.qrcargo.com and in the middle of the screen enter the routing and date of flight. If the aircraft shows as A320H, A320M or A321H in the timetable then its an aircraft with the recliner business class, if it shows A320L then it is an aircraft with the flat seats in business class.

please help

Hi guys,

Taking my wife away for anniversary so want to get this right. I'm flying manchester to Doha. 1 leg is on an a330 (according to the website now, the flight is in december tho - might this change?) and the other 787.

I have read this forum as much as I can and still cannot work out if it will be flat seats or not. There are 5 rows. They are selling first class but from what i can work out there is no first class on 5 row J a330?

How can i tell if these seats will be the refurbed (non 787) flat bed? Lots of websites say different things...

really grateful for any clues!

RW

bigRW if there are five rows in J then the aircraft is an A330-300 with lie flat seats.
If there are three rows of First class seats and four rows of J seats then it is an A330-300 with sloped seats. This aircraft has been used DOH-MAN-DOH but not recently.
If there is no First class and four rows of J seats it is an A330-200. There are two aircraft with sloped seats but they are scheduled to be withdrawn in third quarter this year. They are occasionally used on this route. Apart from the registration numbers there is no way to differentiate between lie flat and sloped seat aircraft.

For regional flights Business class does not exist and the J cabins are designated and sold as F.
