I booked the inaugural flight of QR A380 which supposed on Jun 17. But I just found from their website QR003 have reverted back to 77W. Anybody notice that?

My late June QR003 is now showing as an an A346, without F (according to expertflyer - my QR booking still says my wife and I have F seats).

Revised first A388 flight DOH-LHR appears to be 1 July 2014!

Even worse, I booked Class F from CAI-DOH-LHR, which only provide Biz service on the first leg and first class service on the second leg. Once it changed to 77W, even second leg will only provice biz service, but they still charged me F fares, which is 3 times of C fares...without any notice...

I'm flying the same route (CAI-DOH-LHR) 9 days later. It will really rub salt into the wounds if they try and charge you QAR40 to use a lounge at DOH (as reported on another thread) because your onward journey is in business, not first.

Isn't your best bet to contact QR and downgrade the entire journey to business class (still keeping the 'first' CAI-DOH)? You're right about price: a one-way CAI-DOH-LHR in business is circa EGP5k, the same trip in first is circa EGP12k.

What's really annoying is that I specifically 'cleared the decks', from a schedule point of view, to enable my wife and I to experience F on an A388.

By the way - welcome to FlyerTalk.

So are we to assume 1st July is when the main F and J lounges will open at HIA?

I was thinking the same when I saw that the A380 service to London was pushed to July 1st but is it really related to that?

If rumours are to be believed the reason for the 2 year delay in opening the airport was because the QR CEO fell out with the lounge contractors. This would be a minor inconvenience compared to that.

I wonder if 380 is delayed so they can do a speedy cabin refit after seeing EY's new offering? :-)

Interesting...looks like an A/C change. Can we presume the A380 isn't coming until September?

Both EF and QR.com are still showing my 05August LHR-DOH flight as A380 with my F seat and F availability.

Y on QR A380 DOH > LHR has re-opened, but F remains closed from 01JUL14 to 08SEP14. It is possible they may switch to 77W.

However, LHR > DOH currently showing different scenario which doesn't makes sense.
