AA Codeshare

I'm flying QR on an AA ticket (AA flight numbers) in Business (I class). This was booked a few months back. My questions are:

1) Have fares been changed on these tickets, as I am being quoted ridiculous amounts for date changes, even with fare class availability?

2) Can I earn miles on my QRPC membership? Or is it strictly on the AA advantage only?

Thanks

These questions are probably best asked in the AA forum.

You'll need to read the fare rules to see what they should be charging for date changes, I fares are discount business and can have very high change fees.

If I'm not mistaken fare class I is the "old" fare class Z in the QR system, which is the most restricted special offer class. And as such, changes should be expected to be expensive i guess. Normaly that is the case with all the special offers in the industry, and in my experience QR is no worse than anybody else...

When I booked, it was mentioned that these fares were unrestrictive by the AA agent here in Kuwait, now when I tried to change some dates they said that the fare structure has been changed and I have to pay the difference between the old and the new fares.

QR keep referring me back to AA which is understandable.

Thanks

If you have flown the outbound already and want to change the return, then you are subjected to the ORIGINAL rules only and not the new rules. Yes you contact AA as this is an AA ticket evn though it is operated by QR.

If you haven't travelled yet and want to make changes, then the new fare and fare rules apply.
