Qatar's Improving Customer Service

I thought I'd add another story of improving customer service. I had lost my credit card and had it replaced. I used the online support to ask what my options were and whether or not I could take a statement at check in.

I received a reply 19 minutes later telling me that it had been verified by visa and they have put a note on my booking that the card does not need to be shown at check in. 19 minutes! I was expecting to wait 19 days for a response! Let's hope this is a sign of things to come. I had visions of having to get to the London Office. Thanks Qatar

Yip

I had good service too. I applied for a refund online, got an email a few hours later saying it was processed, and the money was back in my account after a few days.

I would advise to take a print out of the email with you, better safe.

Just something I was told by a Qatar exec... they mentioned it had just opened.
Found the news release here: http://www.qatarairways.com/english_...lease_20121003

Thank you for the link.

Does that mean calls to the C/S line at DOH will be re-routed to Poland now instead of Oman?

No problem...
Possibly (?) I don't know if they get re-routed automatically or what... I could ask if you are interested though...

That's kind, but don't bother.

My idea behind that question was: Calling Poland is much cheaper then Qatar/Oman. Of course someone has to reveal the Polish number.

On the other side, I have a nice ctc @FRA so I really don't need.

Thanks again!

oooh, I see your reasoning now. Good question. I suppose that would be too generous It always helps to know someone in the company as in your case though

I will try and find out nonetheless next time I'm in Doha in a couple weeks, whether this number will become visible...

Qatar's Improving Customer Service

That is probably why I had to wait for three months to get a reply from WR CS

I use skype and call the U.S. toll free number, skype does not charge for those types of calls.
