Question for QR flyers that frequent SIN airport:
I'm flying SIN - DOH - USA but would need to fly into SIN on separate ticket. Would it be possible to check in my luggage 24h+ prior to my QR flight time? That would make life so much easier if I decide to spend a day in SIN. I know there's a luggage storage option in SIN airport, in case early check in is not possible.

If you area platinum, do you still get some sort of lounge access , even if you book the fare that does not include lounge access? I presume you just wouldn't get Al Mourjan/ Al safwa etc. But could access other lounges with one world Emerald status?

Yes you can still use the status lounges. But if you are QR platinum travelling on a P fare that does not include lounge access, you can use Al Safwa anyway. But not AM.

However, for if your ticket is any type of Y fare or a business fare thats on any carrier other than QR (even if its booked via QR), you will be directed to the Platnium lounge.

Is there really no earning of miles or status points on QAPC when flying Cathay Pacific (CX) on Q tickets?
I can not even find any fare apart from Q, no matter if I select Economy Light, Essential or Flex.

I guess I found too cheap fares for my routing via HKG and it's all coming up as Q only. Wheretocredit also confirms 0 earnings for Q fares.
I'm still deciding on the program to credit my future flights to. Maybe I should just try my luck with CX instead of QR.

For most OW partner programs you have to be in K and above on CX to earn anything. BA used to be an exception and have at least some earning on all CX fares.....

Is a transit hotel provided if my connection is longer than 8 hours BUT I am traveling in F and there is a shorter connection, however, shorter connection flight does not have First Class (2 cabin)?

Was attempting to book an avios + cash redemption in Y Class today and had kept getting a booking reference but my avios weren't deducted. After calling the QRPC call center twice and going through the booking with them multiple times, I had done a booking over the phone instead but noticed that the cash amount was raised by about 30%. Somehow that booking seemed to go through and now I'm feeling like I was conned out of extra money. Is there anything I can do to possibly get the difference in the self booking cash price vs phone price refunded?

Hi there, I'm new to Qatar as moved to Dubai and previously booked all my points and avios to BA. I've flown 4 first class and 4 business flights in last 12 months but got them all to BA.
I'm in the process of reclaiming them and should get them on q points but i joined q on 4th November last year and can't make any more flights between now and then.
My question is Qatar like BA and work to a strict membership year or are they a rolling year?
Ie my flights above were in April and July so will my q points reset in November or if i make more flights in January to take me over the 300 will i be Gold?

hopefully someone can help as I found only old threads about the topic.
were flying from Sharjah to Doha at Friday and want to take an earlier flight. Our flight is at approx 9pm. (QR1035)
does anyone tried a same day change at the airport before? How is the policy?
checked expertflyer and our flight might be full, the two flights before might be not full.
as well does anybody know at which time we can check in our luggage? Just while the QR-counter is open or will we have to wait for check in from our flight?
were flying economy and have a connecting flight at Saturday morning.
