So I have found a decent deal for VCE-TYO but I'm wondering how much better (comfort, entertainment, seats, etc) is the A350-1000 flying to HND compared to the B777-300ER flying to NRT in Y? Arrival time suits me better with the flight on NRT, although HND is by far my favourite airport when going to TYO (going into the city from NRT is a pain in the ......), but what concern me the most is the aircraft: I've tried quite a few for QR but never the 77W and since the VCE-DOH leg is annoying enough with a A330-300 (and sometimes with a very old A330-200), I really prefer to have a comfortable second leg flight.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Ireespective of any difference in the cabin fitout (Qsuites, 1-2-1 harrigbone, 2-2-2) the really big difference for me would be the better air cabin pressure on the A350. I would always go for a modern 350/787 or 380 over an older 777/340/330 just because I will feel fresher and less tired at the end of the flight.

Guess you're right: even if I'll arrive at night rather than late afternoon, a newer aircraft+HND is much better than an older aircraft+NRT...

This plus the noise factor. The 777s are very very noisy!

Does anyone know what time the QR counter opens at LAX ? We have a domestic AA flight arriving in LAX at 8:30 in the morning and the LAX-DOH flight leaves at 3:55 so have quite a bit of time. But due to AA's crappy bag interlining policy, they will likely not through-check the bag so we have to get out and get our baggage for re-checking in with QR at the LAX airport so was wondering when the counter opens.

I think that it's usually three hours prior to scheduled departure, but I'm not 100% certain.

That's what i was worried about , so that means waiting pre-security for about 3 hours. damn, this AA policy of no-through check bags is uniquely unfriendly. Should have researched that before. I booked on AA thinking i would be able to do it since it would be one-world but found out later that AA and BA are the sole sticklers to this policy.

Flying from KUL to DOH, will be able to use online check in? Also, will it be a problem to get through immigration/security at about 11pm for the 9:35 flight to Doha the following morning (no luggage to check in)?

I will be flying with my child who is over 2 years old (on a child fare) from Madrid to Hong Kong via Doha. Are we Allowed to take a baby stroller with us? (We have a YoYo compact stroller that fits in the cabin space. It is 5kg). Would this be considered as part of the hand baggage allowance?

Doesn't it depend on whether Y is oversold, not whether there is space in J or not?
