I can select exit row seats in the OLCI. I am often even given one automatically when checking in. I don't know if it is connected to my status or not.

I've just joined QMiles as I'm contemplating a flight from GRU to EZE and could transfer Starwood points to Qatar and redeem a reward flight (either economy or business). However, whenever I try and check availability, it has a little think and then I just get redirected back to the award booking homepage. Is this because I have no miles, because there is no availability or because the website is broken?

If anyone could check availability for 2 from GRU to EZE in either class on 24 February, I would be very grateful. Also how much would the taxes and charges etc be in economy and in business?

There's availability in both econ and business from GRU to EZE on 2013-02-24. As for the taxes I'm not sure as I didn't finish the order process that far.

Send Alex a PM and he should be able to check for you. I believe taxes will be at least 200-400 USD per ticket.

Taxes in Economy : USD205
Taxes in Business : USD250

Rate is subject to change due to the currency fluctuation.

Thanks everyone. Back to the drawing board though, as the economy fare is only about $280, so that would mean 15,000 Starpoints were only worth $75.....

This has happened to me before & was a result of me not having enough QMiles in my account for the journey I was trying to research. I don't think you can check availability without the requisite miles in the bank.

I wondered if that was the case. Seems a bit short-sighted to me!

Business class on A320

Hi there

I am looking at flights from MXP-DOH-SIN and saw that the MXP-DOH leg is operated by an A320. What kind of seats can I expect on that plane?

Also I guess there will be the normal entertainment system and service concept available?

Thanks in advance for any information.

Hi Alex,

I am looking at making some rather complex bookings with Qatar in Business/First, i.e. CGK-AUH via DOH, then AUH-HAJ via DOH/FRA and HAJ-CGK, via DOH, but when searching for fares on the website, it appears to be complex for the pricing algorithms, i.e. I get cheaper rates when searching parts of the itinerary separately.

Can you advise how best to search and also to book such itineraries?

Many thanks

Kevin

Have you considered calling/visiting QR office in Jakarta?

Thank you for the advice!

I have tried QR offices in different markets in the past, and found the responses usually wanting (sometimes got none at all, in Abu Dhabi for example, or after days in Germany).

Traffic in Jakarta is the worst I've ever experienced (you usually need an hour for 3-5km, and I am not close to the office in the Grand Indonesia Mall), and my schedule usually frees up after office hours.

Thus I was hoping there was a) either a different search engine or b) a team of dedicated specialists who for example could be reached via email to discuss the options.

I will be taking my first flight with Qatar in January, when I arrive at my destination I will be a Burgundy member. My question is will I be able to use the extra 10kg luggage allowance for my return journey or will I have problems when I check in my cases?

Does Qatar have any partners whose FF miles you can use to book flights on Qatar (before they join OneWorld)?
