cabin crew

Hi guys. Are there more cabin crew on a 777 than an A330?on my last flight on qatar i counted 13 cabin crew on the A330 300.There seemed to be more crew than normal for A330.On Swiss A330 i counted 9 crew.Does it depend on the airline?

Go to http://www.qatarairways.com/global/en/seat-map.html then select the aircraft type and configuration. The number of crew is also shown.

Yes it depends on the airline.

On AC, for example, there are only 8 cabin crew for the A330-300.

Generally North American carriers would have the least number of flight attendants, followed by European carriers. The middle eastern and asian carriers would have the most... more cabin attendants = better service.

And yes, the larger the plane, the more cabin crew there are.

Thanks guys.Guy betsy,is it because it is more expensive for european carriers to operate with more crew, hence keeping number of crew to a minimum,or is there another reason?I also flew with edelweiss air from africa to zurich, and i was shocked to count 7 cabin crew on a fully loaded A330 300.It seems that they try as much as possible to operate with minimum FA's.

I wish TG had less FAs (on their European routes). Than they had more time to take care of the pax instead of themselves.

:D
