Who can visit whom? She: F Me: J

My wife and I are on QF 107 on 11/18/09 going from SYD-LAX-JFK. I believe I know the answer but would like a confirmation. I believe that while she can visit me, I can not visit her. Am I correct in my assumption? Thanks

Is that what you have to do to get some peace and quiet for the flight?

I think if you've a polite and quiet word with the CSM while you board, you may be allowed for a visit or two.

I've asked this question before (although with BA), and they were glad to allow me visits.

In theory though, your assumption is correct.

Not just for the flight...

Imagine the grief afterwards if she had been in J and he in F!

I know this from experience. UA op-upéd me ICN-NRT (Biz to F) and Mrs og didn't get the op-up and had to endure UA Biz for just under 2 hrs (thats the problem with being on separate PNRs ).

Her looks said everything. I made the mistake of enquiring about her lunch (mine was substantial) - she said "what lunch?"

I do not like to criticize but did you miss school when they taught you to be a gentleman. I would have declined the OP-UP.

Same experience last year on BA LHR-BOS. Our daughter was back in Y and D***** allowed me to bring her up to F for a drinky and they were very kind to her

Same experience with BA on a LHR-JFK flight. My mother was in F and I was in J. I asked the CSM if I could visit after lunch as I had the address and phone number of the hotel we were staying in New York and my mother needed that for the US Customs/Immigration paperwork. It was not a problem and the F crew even served me a drink when I was there.

they allowed my friend from J to sit opposite me in 1a for dessert and drinks after the meal.
once on a CX flight they allowed my friend to sit for 1/2 the flight after the meal. and land still seated in F.

on otherflight when I have been in F and him in J they have not encouraged him to visit but I have gone and sat with him.

neither of us have worried about one being in a higher class. once when we were on lan lim to scl-they upgraded him. when he asked if I could be upgraded instead they said no the person next to you can go to j I said go ahead and sit in J I will stay in Y^

Well that's a stretch, but I'll bite. Why?
And when, btw? I've never experienced this phenomenon.
