Question on W seating
Hi all - I have done all the searching and examination of every seat map that I can, and am still left with a question. I'm flying on QF93 MEL-LAX in W in a few weeks, flight shows as operated by a 744. I have been assigned seat 30A, which does not seem to exist on any seat map I've seen, whether for the 744 or 388.
Can anyone shed any light on tihs? Thanks a lot |
I've flown Y+ precisely once in my life and it happened to be in seat 30A -- what a coincidence. It is in the 2nd small PE cabin, I think the rows went from 27 to 33. It is a good seat. Y+ itself is an interesting product (better than AA short-haul F or BA short-haul J Club Europe, as a point of comparison, but not really competing with QF's long-haul J). I suppose the price point makes it successful.

Since QF93 is sold as 4 class you have a skybed. (That is, you will get a Business class seat with Y+ service)
If you can bring your booking up on www.checkmytrip.com you should see row 30 in a 2 x 3 x 2 configuration. With a drop of in premium sales and an increase in economy sales, from July to October, Qantas are redefining the cabins on many flights - especially trans-pacific. Four Class Pacific configurations are having their cabins reallocated to give an additional 28 "Economy class" seats for sale. See here: http://www.qantas.com.au/infodetail/...66J40W187Y.pdf .
So instead of having a 14F 66J 40W & 187Y configuration we have a 14F 52J 26W & 215Y. |
Wow - this is good news. Thanks a lot :)
