Quidco & QF - 2% saving
For those of you who are UK based and likely to be buying QF tickets, I would highly recommend signing up to the Quidco service which gives 2% back on purchases made with QF linked via their site. It's works on a number of other airlines and travel sites too (NZ, BD etc), but seeing as this is the QF forum....
www.quidco.com |
good site...
I have used Quidco regularly...I was told of this site by my brother and it has saved me a lot of money which always go towards a nice trear for us..
you can use it for a lot of things especially insurance which is good |
Has anyone managed to get tracked/paid QF flights that don't start in the UK?
It appears that once you change the "country" of the Qantas website, fares won't track correctly. |

I don't even have my ex-UK QF transactions working so sadly I can't really recommend QF and quidco. :(
"Response from Merchant. Blanket reject of all untracked sales" Have another one ex-HKG that is tracking at 0.00, although the day after booking it I was asked for further information about the booking (date of first flight/cost etc) At least Opodo and Expedia both track reliably and pay reasonably quickly. It surprises me though that they have good stats for reliability - "Tracking Reliability High (98% tracked, 2% enquiries of which 25% successful so far) " |
I've posted about Quidco before on the Forum... I think it was as high as 4% cashback at one point wasn't it?
My previous QF transactions (all ex-UK) all posted fine I think (not that there were that many of them) - can't remember though whether they tracked at 0 to start and then updated to the correct amount later (but a number of vendors do track that way on Quidco). And excuse me for STBO, but assume you deleted all your QF related cookies before clicking through from Quidco. (Cos if not it won't track and you won't get paid). |

Mine track but just don't validate. Grrr!
Have you contacted Quidco about it (via links on the site)? They are actually very good normally at chasing up, and if you report that one of their vendors never posts and that you have been denied hundreds of quid as a consequence then I'm sure they will look into it. |

Quidco customer service is not particularly brilliant at the best of times. Found that accessing quidco on my iphone generally managed to close tickets (very strange bug, but it has happened on several occasions) and the tickets which do remain open tend not to be answered for months.

We have such different experiences, how odd. Firstly I have only ever had one Enquiry rejected, and on appealing this I got the cash; secondly, when ever I have made Payment Enquiries or opened a Ticket they have always been responded to within a few days. (And when I have replied to responses these got responses quickly too). Maybe try being like I am with them - pushy / a pest !:D

I think the issue is with the amount of time QF take to get back to Quidco. I then suspect the Quidco staff put the issue into the too hard basket.
The Quidco earning page does not exclude any overseas flights from earning. Qantas are either not describing the earning scheme correctly, or their website just can't handle tracking correctly. My next Quidco Qantas rebate is about 20 pounds, so I will be more interested in finding out if that posts correctly. |

Yeah, with responses like "Blanket reject of all untracked sales" from the merchant (Qantas), I don't think there is much they can do.

FWIW I asked Quidco about cashback when making an AUD purchase, and they stated that they would provide the 2% credit and convert at the appropriate exchange rate. |
good luck with it. interested to hear how it goes.
