iPhone application

I've just got an iPhone and I'm having problems with the qantas application. It has installed to my iPhone OK, but starting the app just gives an alert saying

"Please wait a moment while we optimize your Qantas iPhone experience"

I waited much more than a moment and it doesn't get out of that screen.:(

Has anyone else had experience with the application

iPhone version 2.1 (5F136), modem firmware 02.11.07 - I'm connecting over wifi

You're not missing much. The iPhone application simply connects to the website and views the iPhone version of the site; you can't view your account or check in or do anything useful for that matter.

Use the Safari application to browse to www.qantas.com.au - you'll get much the same "experience"

This is probably best in the Travel Tech Forum - however notzac is right on the mark.

I upgraded my iPhone to 2.2 and it has improved the stability of some of the apps. Worth a try.

The QF app only lasted 2 days on mine....

The QF timetable app is not too bad, lets you know in realtime if a flight is delayed - great for picking folks up from the airport!

QF Application is working fine for me on 2.2, as it did on 2.1. Really a polished application (when it works!).

I couldn't get past the "Optimising your Qantas iPhone experience" screen either, so I gave up on it too! The website seems to work just fine in the iPhone, really....

Works fine on 2.2 for me as well, over both 3G and WiFi.
