In November, I flew J in 3A on the 787 Melbourne to Perth just to have a go on it. Next week I'm off to Auckland in F 2E and 2K with Emirates.
I'm looking at flights to the USA trying to decide the order of planes and seats on them. I assume F on the A380 is the best choice followed by J on the 787 over the A380 and 747? Just wondering if someone has flown on all those aircraft in those cabins and have any input.
Regards,
Michael

Flying on the A330-300 from SIN-MEL later this year. Currently BA Silver (OWS) soon to be Gold(OWE). Row 1-3 is currently showing as blocked on the seatmap in Manage My booking. Are these rows available to OWE at all or just QF platinum?

You need to be "Platinum 1" or "Chairman's Lounge" to access these seats before "T-80" ...

Maybe its a SYD thing, but I have been able to select row 2 and row 3 on the 333 for a SYD-SIN flight in the next week outside of the T-80 window. And I'm just a humble WP as opposed to P1 or CL.

I had some seats selected for a December SYD/KIX trip on A333's around September last year, rows 23 and 24 no problem.
Late last year there was a change and I could no longer select in these rows (although my original selections in the area held).
When was it booked and the seats originally selected? If recently, perhaps Qantas are still tinkering.

IMHO, it is 12A or 12K depending on where the sun is likely to be through the flight. I can climb over the aisle PAX and the side storage is extremely useful. Row 13 OK too.
Don't choose 11K as that's where a medical power supply is located

Interesting. Unless this is a recent development, when I last flew to SIN (from MEL) in Dec 2017 rows 1 and 2 were off-limits to me as a Platinum passenger until T-80.

Any advice on where the missing windows are located on the 789 - particularly the forward Business Cabin?
EDITED: answer found from seatguru. Seems row 5 is the windowless place.

So I've just booked my USA flights as a solo traveller and have the following
QF93 - 2A - no one else in F
QF11 - 14K - Can choose any seat row 14 or 11 J K or lower deck and in rows 1, 2, 6, 7 or 8
QF12 - 11 K - Can choose 11A B, any row 12, 14 A B or lower deck any row 1, 2 J K, 3 A B or any 5, 6 or 8
QF94 - 4A can have any in the middle of 1A, 5A and all K except 2.
I've never been in Qantas F, never been in J on a 747 and want the best seats.Thanks.
Regards,
Michael

Well, there are plenty of posts upthread with 'photos, advice etc.
With the QF93/QF94 the A seats have less traffic but all are good (my preference is 3A).
With the 744, I as a solo traveller look to 5A/5B/14A/14K, these are all exit seats. Then 3E/3F.

A aisle has 5 First seats accessing it; K aisle has 9 seats. 3A on the A380 is halfway between the galley and the forward toilet. Should be generally somewhat quieter.
Seeing forward on the 744 is fine for day flights - I'd do that the other way.

Looking to book an economy flight into Sydney or Melbourne for my wife and myself, focusing on getting on a Qantas A380 flight as that seems to have the best reviews for flying in economy. The upper deck shows up as being held by Qantas for the most part so I have not been able to find a flight with two upper deck seats together (out of LAX/DFW/SFO). If I can't get on the upper deck, what would be the best place to book two seats together? Perhaps 79B with 80A?
