Hi Serfty, could you expand on the recommendation?

I am travelling on a reconfigured 747 LAX - JFK return, and was tossing up between 3A, 5B/J, and 14A.

Are there windows next to 5J/B? Do you feel a bit exposed to the cabin during the flight and during boarding?

Thanks in advance!

5B may be more exposed if boarding from L1, 5J should be fine.

On A380 J, I've a choice of row 12 or 25. What would you choose? 11 and 24 aren't available.

Row 12 is excellent. Seats 12E or 12F are good if you prefer direct aisle access with no disturbance, and I also quite like 12A / 12 K as you have a small storage box and shelf on the window side.

Better than row 11 IMHO.

On 747 from HKG to SYD. Premium rows are 34 to 37. I'm tall so I think row 34 is out of the question, right? I picked 36G. Good pick?

I need help deciding my seats for J class upper deck on 4-class 744. Row 13 or 16 (exit row)? Are these seats the new Skybeds (flatbeds)?

I'd go row 16, most likely the older sloping beds (MK I) though.

Oh crap!
Not only downgraded from an A380 but then to get the old (sloping) Skybeds, which I really hate too! I am not happy about this at all!!!!

Traveling by myself on QF1 SIN-LHR in September in F. Currently have 4A seat, and I see 1A and 5A are open. Is either one of those more preferable? 3-5K are open as well.

Exclamation Newbie QF coach question

Have an OW award booking and am confirmed on the QF94 - QF131 - QF222 and QF3.

I am able to pull up the QF seat maps, but on all legs shows me seat availability in coach for payment of $20 only.
You can request this seat for AUD$20.00
Whats up with this ?

Unless you have oneworld status, for more than a year, seat selection on international flights has had this fee.

Note that QF222 is a Jetstar codeshare flight - you troubles may just be starting ...

Domestic J on 763 (PER-SYD)

Hi,
Being based in Europe I do not fly Qantas very much. Am on QF574 PER-SYD tomorrow on a 763.

Which seat do you recommend. Can choose 1E which looks good as no one reclines in front of you? Any thoughts?

What can I expect in terms of seat and IFE?

Thanks
Johan
