Possible for Flight to be Full

I am trying to book a direct flight on December 3 from BNE to LAX on QF15. However, when I search on their website, the flight does not appear.

Is it possible that this flight (Wed) from BNE-LAX could be fully booked 3 months out? I was just very surprised that this flight would already be completely booked.

Numbers may be zero, but I'd bet that it may not be operating and hence showing zero. Others, however, may know more than me.

3rd December is going to be peak travel time due to the start school holidays. However its unusual for a Wednesday to be busy.

Does that same aircraft return to BNE or could it also be sent to SYD or AKL?

Some QF FTer will likely know that. With 2 class aircraft only a few places Oz or Kiwland it could go back to.

I wasn't aware of changes to QF15 (ex QF175) planned. Any further details?

I dare say it's the odd flight here and there, rather than the whole thing that's getting the chop.

If I already have one seat booked on the flight and it is going to be cut, do you know how I will be rerouted? Will I fly out of SYD?

I would love to get on the A380.

Edit: I just called Qantas, and they said the flight is simply booked full. I am kind of doubtful of this, but I guess I will have to wait it out...

I wouldn't read anything into this. I had the same experience earlier wth QF8, and I was told the same thing by calling Qantas. At this stage I knew through "other" contacts that QF8 was cancelled, but wanted to know what sales would do.....short anwer was nothing, as the flight was just "full". I wasn't called or anything, just had to find out about a rebooking through checking my bookings on the QF site...

Cheers

Pax will be contacted a little further down the track. You should be offered a flight via SYD or even MEL if necessary. I'm outta town for some time so wont be able to check for some time.
