FF points increase?

Recently we travelled on a qantas flight for which we used points. We started talking to a guy sitting near us who said that frequent flyer points for qantas will be increasing by 50% from May 1 (eg a flight which used to cost 50,000 pts will now cost 75,000).... Can any one confirm this? or know any further information? It was the first we'd heard, but not sure if it is accurate or not. Thanks.

He doesn't know what he is talking about.

He *might* have been referring to the impending launch of 'Anyseat' awards, but the existing award scheme will stay the ssame, running alongside it.

Thanks Dave, I was a little bit concerned & thought we'd have to make a very quick decision for the next holiday!

rex26:- Welcome to FT (Au branch) ^

Discussed in here. QF have tended to say all changes are enhancements (but are not to most FT'ers)
