Quantas Service is the Best
I recently completed my first domestic flight in Australia and have to say that the service was wonderful. I was on a flight that lasted one hour, we were given snacks, cookies, drinks, coffee/tea and mints at the end. Airlines in the USA cant compete with Quantas service.
|
Glad to see that you enjoyed the service on our airline, but I have to say "what is it with Americans and the letter 'u'?" They leave it out when it should be there, in words such as 'colour' and 'labour' and then add it in to Qantas!
|
Hmmm, this Quantas must be a new airline, with that sort of service, vastly different to the Qantas (without the u) that most of us are used to!
Spelling mistakes aside, and in all seriousness were you on a jet or one of the smaller 36 or 50 seat propeller aircraft? Mints on an hour flight, in my experience, is unique to "Qantas Link" the regional subsidiary that operates props (& some smaller jets). Can concur that the service on these flights is outstanding. Don't expect it to be mirrored on the main jet services - although you probably can expect better service than most US carriers. |
now g24kb8 you pay no attention to those old crows they're just so used to flying one of the best airlines in the world they don't realise how surprisingly pleasant it is for those from up north find it when they take the plunge. Now you be sure to report back to the folks at home just what "service" is and it aint all about warmed nuts (as necessary they are). http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
edited heaps for spelling but no stray u thankfully. thuw [This message has been edited by GoldFlyer (edited Mar 10, 2004).] [This message has been edited by GoldFlyer (edited Mar 10, 2004).] |
"it aint all about warmed nuts (as necessary they are). "
Indeed, last thing I want is my nuts to be warmed. Dave |
Excellent!
I shall cut up my Gold Qantas card and start working on obtaining status with Quantas. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/thumbsup.gif |

Sorry for the mispelling of QANTAS, as for omitting the U in words, I think I am spelling them right. What about you guys using a c instead of an s, as in defence(wrong) to defense(correct)

Now you know better :) "What about you guys using a c instead of an s, as in defence(wrong) to defense(correct)" Defence is correct whilst defense is incorrect :) Also, fyi, a billion is 10^12 ( ie a million to the power of 2) , a trillion is 10^18 ( ie a million to the power of 3) not 10^9 and 10^12 . 2^9 is a milliard. g24kb8 - i think you might be missing Australian sense of (ironic) humour here somehow...

Now let's just not talk about the colour of your cheque http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
|
Not only do words shrink with the removal of letters like "u", but what about the volume of a pint? Or a gallon? Talk about depreciation when you cross the Atlantic.

If g24kb8 was over the moon with Qantas' service, imagine his comments when he tries Asian airlines such as Cathay Pacific and Singapore Airlines - he will be in Heaven by then.
