Thanks for the heads up Status chaser

Did you mean upgrade credits instead as you can currently use points for domestic upgrades at the QC?

statuschaser, we all look forward to getting the new booklet and devouring the info to make sure we max our FF status chasing abilities.

Surprised they haven't increased the levels to acquire Gold and Plat benefits...

Any sign of QC issued ODUs on international routes using points or credits?

i really hope this part doesn't get introduced or is rethought. it's already expensive at 50,000 each way. i hope you're misreading, and it's actually 90,000 for a round trip, 50,000 each way .

as a business model, it's a little regressive. at 180,000 to upgrade a round trip, i'd just redeem 220,000 for a return business award. so instead of QF getting the $2-3,000 for the fare being upgraded, they'd get no cash.

Thats rediculous, 40000 point increase.

As aura said, you would save yourself a packet by just spending the points on full award ticket in J

I'll be interested to see which fare classes in Economy now count as full economy for International travel, because those are some hefty increases on every level, not just Zone 5. Lets see what the full redemption levels change to as well, I've got a bad feeling though (and happy I've chewed through most of my points this year already from the looks of things).

They may as well dump international upgrades altogether as do this; in fact, maybe it's a cynical way of effectively doing so, while maintaining a pretense of preserving the benefit?

Perhaps this is part of the price to be paid for the 'new' international BC; I suppose something had to give!

At 9000 points for a Zone 1 upgrade and 14000 for Zone 2, its going to take a few more HP's in the QC before handing over points for an ODU.

Makes those upgrade credits seem a little more valuble now, except if they have gone as well.

I think they are trying to stop people who's employers pay for the economy fare anyway from upgrading. These people would not care if it was 1000 less points then gettting the ticket outright as they are not paying the $2-3K in the first place.

If it means more U class seats I am all for it

When do the BA flight status bonuses go into effect? Immediately? Also what is the change in cabin bonus, QF was already giving 50% F and 25% J cabin bonus for BA (and all Oneworld airline I think), is the change the addition of WT+?
