OneWorld Lounge Access as Gold

An easy question for some of you guys.

QFF Gold means that I can enter any oneworld lounge if I have a oneworld flight that day. Eg. I am at Washington Dulles waiting for a flight with AA. Can I go into the BA Lounge, or am I restricted to the Admiral's Club?

Another question, can I bring a guest into the oneworld partner lounge?

Finally I was told that the Wing and the Pier in HKG are only open to oneworld sapphire and above only if you are travelling on CX that day. Is this right?

I would be grateful for you answers. Thanks.

Correct - although they would need to be leaving from the same terminals, to facilitate security concerns.

normally not a problem, but every time I have done it, the guest is on the same flight as me

Dunno wha the situation is as far as guests travelling on different flights, whether they be oneworld or not.

Fortunately, no. If you are flying BA or QF from HKG, when you check-in you will be issued a lounge invite to the joint BA/QF lounge. Take this with your Sapphire card to the Wing and they will cheerfully let you in.

IIRC, the Pier is technically the same but practically of little use. It's right down the far end of the terminal, whereas BA and QF departures are all at the end near check-in and the Wing. Plus it's closed (due to the SARS-related drop in traffic, unless it's been reopened since I last checked).

As to Dulles - I was in the same position - QF Gold - travelling on AA Y domestically. Could have gone to AC but I walked past the BA lounge and thought I would give it a try - I presented my AA BP and QF card and was let in. Much better than AC - buffet meal service (for overnight flights to LHR), open bar, etc.... No reason to go to AC.

You beat me to it! I'd just found it on CX's website.

But it is still miles away from the BA and QF gates.
