What is "E" class?

I am wondering what "E" class is in the ITN Class Availability listing (QF)? Is it "Employees" with industry discount status? It must be a very low / no revenue class since it is listed after after the red-e "N" and FF award "X".

Huh? I have never seen award availability shown on ITN. "E" class used to be for red e-deals (they were initially EWEBONU, then became OWEBONU and finally NWEBONU) but not sure what they are used for now.

I know you can't find U or Z availabilty (award Business or First respectively) on ITN, so there is no reason why you should be able to find steerage award availability there.

I normally just go into the "Award Bookings" part of the QF website to book it anyway.

X class (SLF, steerage / 3rd world traveller class..etc) IS shown (not all flights though). They don't show "T" class (the extra availability for economy awards for QF Gold or higher FFs). Sometimes domestic flights also show "E" class availability as the "last class" (after N and X). Any ideas as per my first posting?

Bigger than C class, not as big as S class. Still pretty pricey.

Definately not "Employee" as staff travelling on staff plan reduced fares are treated as "sub-load". That is, they are really travelling stand-by with no guaranteed seat. However, depending on the saff members entitlements, it may be that they pay the sub-load economy fare and are entitled to a J or F seat is one is available. Entitlements are very much based on seniority and length of service, and very closly guarded by the unions of course.

Strangely enough, I was the only non "sub-load" pax on QF-10 yesterday in P. QF must be having issues with filling its P-seats while award availability on LHR-SYD is very tight to come by.
