Update:

I sent an e-mail to priority club web report. Two hours later, I get the following reply:

Dear ZRS70,

Thank you for your feedback regarding our website.

I have notified our website development team of this misspelling and they
will update the word as soon as possible.

Please contact me if there is anything else we can assist with.

Sincerely,

Marlene Mitton
Priority Club Account Manager

Why the H*** do the pronounce the non-existent U?
Based on the spelling, it should really be pronounced 'Kahntas'--like the Arab country of Qatar.
Or start writing the U. After all, QANTAS is an acronym for
Q(U)eensland
And
Northern
Territory
Air
Service.

Actually, the second A is for Aerial.

Pronounce it any way you like, but please spell it correctly .

The website made a correction, but they now call it "Qantas Airlines" not Airways. Let's hope it never becomes QantAAS AAirways.

Actually Brendan, I've caught Ohioans pronouncing "Cincinatta" quite a few times.

Now why the H*** do they do THAT?!

That's a Hillbilly accent found in rural areas of Ohio esp. southern, Kentucky, & West Virginia.

Speaking of accents, Scotsmen may get a kick out of the fact that Pennsylvania has both an Edinburg (with the G pronounced hard as in 'Pittsburgh') & an Edinboro!
